I would like to ask a question. I believe if Mary appeared to us She would bow to us acknowledging in us the image of God, just as She is. Jesus asks we be/become 'perfect' as the Father is 'perfect'. Is it true that in ancient semitic languages this had more a connotation of wholeness, fullness, completeness, integrated etc - even 'holy' ? I am not so sure it so good to compare in this way - someone 'holier' than another when all are the same in Christ. God loves ALL UN Conditionally. It has given a wrong impression of Mary and Joseph and other saints throughout the centuries. 'Oh I could never be that holy'. Or 'He/she is so holy' because they go regularly to Mass - though might be the biggest gossip in a parish. I think the word 'holy' needs to be better understood. Jesus says I have come to give you Life and Life in ABUNDANCE. Fullness, wholeness - intergrated. Now adays there is less respect for the Eucharist. I think that is a pendulum swing from having been made feel worthless - not worthy of receiving at all - even you did confess. I think if St Joseph had his hammer and chisel - he'd make it all so much smoother and easier to understand. He did know Mary quite well, afterall. She is like all things Godly - exalted to the highest yet still humble handmaid of the Lord - Paradox. St Therese of Lisieux (I think) said something to the effect that if the saints returned to earth they would not recognise themselves in what had been written of them. They were HUMAN. Not PLASTIC.

Not all parishes stay open for Eucharistic Adoration. Ours does not. Can we watch it on tv, for example EWTN offers Adoration. Is it comparable to spiritual Adoration??
