New Player Storage Mining Tips - 1. Every 3rd, or 4th tile wide, place a Clay-Brick Arch. Or at least leave a Wall in every 3rd, or 4th Tile from the main walls to interior if wide/long, to keep it from caving in. 2. For underground Storage - Use SHELVES. Create 1 Shelf first, and Click "Clear" on its Options list. Then set Priority to Very-High, and Micromanage WHAT you want on it. THEN click COPY and you can make more shelves set to the original ones Priorities. (Yes it will take some time to get all shelves set to what you want on them. But spreading them across the room like a grocery store in real life does, will triple the rooms storage space.) You can have a row of them on the walls. the 2 tiles from that, create a double, back-to-back row of shelves. With at least ONE SPACE in the Middle left Open to walk through. 3. Put a door at the Entrance from the stairs, to the cellar room, to help keep temperature down. 4. IMPORTANT NOTE - Do not make any Cellar wider than 10 tiles, so you can put up Arches to stabilize the ceiling every 3rd, or 4th Tile along the LONG End-to-End side. There are more tips if you would like... 👍👍10k💖 for the game, and 5🌟🍩🍩☕ for your videos.
@KingKongveal8 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tips. I do know about the arches. I just thought I had it in, but apparently they did some mining before the arch was built. Oops. I do have some shelves in the one of the storage rooms. Those are great. As I continue to expand the storage I will use more of them. There is a door at the bottom of the stairs. Got that one already. 🙂 Thank you for your advice. I have some experience with this game, but am still relatively novice.

TIPs 1. - PET DOGS & Cat's make good VERMIN CONTROLLERS to keep Polecats,(skunks) Foxs, and other "Vermin" away from your Domestic Pen. 2. Pet Goats are great Haulers of Urgent and everything else. You can also get Milk from them as Domestics, and/or Pets. 3.Pet Sheep are annoying & slow. But the Domestic ones are good for Wool Gathering. 4. PET WOLVES & BEARS? Good haulers of all things... GREAT WARRIORS in Raids. If set to Battle, they attack the Nearest Raider together, and just whack the heck out of them. 5. PRIORITIES - Always set Priority Level of Stockpiles, and Crafting to levels you prefer. The higher, the better, and can be made lower to transfer items to higher levels. 6. Bedrooms - Minimum size for good Moods, is 4w x 5L tiles. Or vice-versa 7. BARNS - Make them 2 stories tall, with 2nd story High Priority Fodder Stockpile. 1st Floor, you may want to put Braziers, or round Fire pit to keep Domestics warm in winter. Yes, weather affects our critters.

Nice storage, your underground stockpile needs a floor though to prevent decay. I would use an outdoor stockpile for things that don't decay like dirt, ores, bricks, metal bars etc. You can bridge that river with a beam.
