I'm not sure about the question of if the funhouse was originally at La Ronde, but we used to have one of those funhouses at Trimpers Rides in Ocean City Maryland. I always wondered of the manufacturer of these funhouses and I heard you mention Schwarzkopf, just out of curiosity, where did you find that information?

I haven't been to Canada's Wonderland since 1997. It was actually 1993 but I made an exception in 1997 and it reaffirmed why I quit that place in 1993. My story is too long to tell but it involved a former UNICEF recipient who was working the Minebuster. YouCensor might delete this. I don't care who reads it. This is why I h4t3 CW in Maple. Me and my wife were waiting in line for the back of the train. At one point we see Skyrider is stuck on the lift hill next door. She points to the Skyrider train stuck on the lift hill and laughs as does everybody else who is waiting in the queue. This creature who once experienced a coke bottle falling from the sky in 1984 is apparently operating Minebuster. Fuck this story is long. We are about 5 or 6 rides from boarding the last row of the train. Mr Coke Bottle 1984 is now signaling us from the complete opposite end of the Minebuster station, he is standing above the plexi shield thing and flailing his KFC arms our way while squeeliing about something. We had no idea what it was about or that he was even making contact with us. 4 or 5 trains later we are up next and Coke_Bottle.exe is eyeballing us while standing above his helm, the control panel of Minebuster. We board our train and roll down the line until we hit the station. Coke Bottle, or fuuckhead as I would soon call him, killed the power and stopped the whole ride and exited his control booth and walked out and around to us and threatened to fight my wife (a petite, and now embarrased international visitor) and very aggressively asked her in broken english if she had a problem with him. I immediately said Skyrider is stuck on the lift hill and she was pointing at that and we were laughing at that and if you don't go back to your unit and turn this fucking ride on right now I am gonna sm45h the f77ck out of you right here in front of everybody and then sue the god damn park too. That was the 2nd incident that day and was a little much for me. I had seen over 5 or 6 fights in the park between 1990 and 1993, two of which were on the same day as the drowing that closed behind the falls. I also saw Dragonfire rollback while lined up for Wild Nitemares and fire truck had to come and unlock ppl one at a time. It was on fireworks weekend and I was in line for Wild Nitemares for about an hour and a ton of people saw the rollback and eventually firetruck which showed up. I can"t remember if it was the same weekend of the drowning or the year after. But behavior was subhuman. I don't know what year it was but Depeche Mode and Guns N Roses were really popular. It was around the time Su!c!d4l Tendencies had Controlled By Hatred Feel Like Shit Deja Vu. I can't find any info on Dragonfire's rollback incident and I saw it happen myself and was in line long enough to see a firetruck ladder extended to the train which was stuck in the corkscrew not to high above ground level. From Wild Nitemares the view through the grassy field was not obstructed at all. I hate that park for lack of trees/shade and it's subhuman clientel. In the 1990s I moved to Lexington and lived equal distance between KI and KK which always had much less dix in the parks and actually ejected people for playing clown games. I can't tolerare a skitzo staff member pulling the main power unit from a coaster because he thinks somebody was pointing and snickering at him and a lift hill behind him has a stuck train on the lift hill. Back then I would have proudly been banned from the park and attending court at a later date, that goofball was actually lucky. If anybody read that mess in full I salute you. I swear it is 100% true and it is why I hate Canada's Wonderland. I had a season's pass from 1984 to 1993, even during years when I didn't live in the Toronto area, because it was worth the travel trip. But at some point CBS-Paramount shit the bed and that was too bad! I might go in 2024, ride Behemoth and Leviathan once each then leave the park. I tried to go 5 years ago but the 45 year old dumb b!!tch with 3 grown kids stood me up! Then two weeks later she measages me telling me she is at the park with her "fam" and types "LOL". Nice job. No wonder you are still single after 35 year and have 3 kids by 3 different doners. And I met her at that fukking park to begin with. I am glad she is a See U Next Tuesday as that would have been pure hell. I hate CW.

Looking forward to riding Phobia! That should be considered a world class ride in my opinion. That was a huge investment for the park. A big thing that distinguishes it from other Skyrocket 2 models is that it just has lap bars and not over shoulder restraints

I can recall riding Le Monstre back in 1985 when Track 1 opened, and again in 1986 after Track 2 opened. Even though there are a lot of people who don't like it, the coaster has remained on my top 10 list of coasters. I am also one of the many who would hate to see this thing RMC'd - in my view wooden coasters generally become worse - not better - after the RMC "treatment" (or destruction as I think of it). I agree that the original trains were a lot better then the PTC's currently running on it. Also worth noting, the PTC's were not new - they came from The Texas Cyclone at Houston Astroworld after it was closed. Similarly, La Ronde's Vekoma SLC came from Houston Astroworld. Thanks for the video!

@1st_Drop exaactly. A b and m snooze fest And the fact people want a dive for this park... how many sleepy but photogenic rides does great america need??? No thanks. They need an rmc eagle, a giga, something from mack rides. Major stuff. Turn the picnic grove into a nice kids section and go through and clean up all the junky areas of the park with better pacement and landscaping. This park has a lot of classic charm. How many six flags parks have a full railroad circling them? Thanks for sharing your trip report

Without going into too many details, I’ll just say I totally understand where you’re coming from. The positive experiences I’ve had (so far) outweigh the negative, but I still feel awkward and uncomfortable filming/vlogging in certain situations. And yes, erroneous statements made by certain enthusiasts are incredibly frustrating. You try to clarify/correct and they take offence. I’ve also stopped engaging, which is sad because it means there’s so many falsehoods being spread without consequences. Maybe one day we’ll actually meet in person, but if not, just know I appreciate all you’ve done over the years. 😁

Considering you're a seasoned veteran of the craft in the park I know you understand the pressures without question! My enjoyment ratio has sadly waned of recent but look forward to a return possibly several years down the road. Maybe there will be changes that will reflect some of these concerns among others and I hope for a better experience one day! It will certainly be a little more relaxing being an enthusiast in the shadows 👻. Regretfully I saw you filming on my last HH visit but did not wish to interrupt. Will not be shy next time!

“Depths of the interior…people at work”? Are you serious! Those are thugs destroying yet another piece of Rochester with their trash, thug graffiti. You were smart to get out of there when you did or they would have most likely chased you and killed you. You know absolutely nothing about Rochester. It is a ghost town. Once Kodak left, the economy collapsed. Everywhere you walked were bustling businesses. I worked downtown for 15 years as an adult. In my childhood, went shopping with my mom ever Saturday via RTS bus. Rochester is DEAD. I can’t believe you wasted your time showing absolutely nothing. And it had nothing to do with COVID. You were so close to Kodak’s Main Office on State Street, and you didn’t even show that. Rochester has one of the highest crime rates in the country, second only to Detroit. What was once a beautiful CITY (not “town”) has been taken over by drugs, crime, prostitution. What a waste of time. Go back to Canada. There’s nothing for you here.
