Cause the offense is based on the original double wing and is their shotgun version. Some coaches will argue that it is a modified single wing.

We installed it last week, and absolutely loved it, it gave us a nice answer when they blitzed the motion on belly sweep.

Also, a good coaching point for the QB is to “tuck” behind the fullback, as it lets him get downhill NOW. We use the same footwork we used on “veer follow” to keep it simple.

I played for Mechanicsburg that year when I was a freshman in high school. West Liberty was very good that year undefeated but got beat in the first round of the playoffs against Versailles.
