I will bet 90% of the people who watched this made an appointment with their eye doctor. Just awful video quality. What a shame because Mike Smith is so great on this song.

recordings in a studio were never made like this, there'd be sound leaking to mics everywhere it would a just a mass of noise. Bass and Drum tracks would probably be laid down first, then maybe a vocal track, then the others added on. At no time would everyone play the song together
@Jay-vr9ir3 жыл бұрын
Also Dave was not that great of a drummer , he used a studio drummer . Dave was great business man .

@@melgrant7404 I once had a lady who kept balling me out on line for saying Mike Smith was a better keyboardist than Paul McCartney. Sorry, but it's very true. Mike was a classically trained pianist who was put into musical college at the age of 13. Paul is self trained and can't even read music.

Lots of artists use unknown session players on their recordings.
@PAULLONDEN6 жыл бұрын
*Dave Fowler* ___That's certainly true......but one would expect the core sound Bass/drums/guitar/vocals/ might at least come from the band itself......especially since The Dave Clark Five made such a big deal about "Dave on thunderous drums" .Maybe that's the reason there hardly excists genuine live material of them apart from clips where the screamers dominate.......At least The Beatles,Stones often enough proved they could carry it off......Clark was more of a businessman who had music as a hobby on the side....he managed to fool us all.......They became irrelevant rather quickly after the initial rush of classic singles that defined the early 60's .....after '65 it became mediocre top 40 dross all the way....that sure still had lots of fans ofcourse.....
