So i cant remove the random rule from deling city. I did exactly as u did and removed the same rule but im guessing i already had the random rule in deling city. Is there any way to remove it?

You're giving way too much explanation about directions. That has nothing to do with anything. Lots of extra talking. It should have taken literally 15 seconds to explain this 1) Get the random plus rules & bring them to FH because you cant just absolish the FH rules by themselves. 2) Then absoloish the FH rules. (This is on Steam) He is using PlayStation it seems. You don't have to go through all of this exactly to do it. There are many ways. You can simply spread the rules and then move the Queen of Cards to the region that you have the most basic rules such as open. Once you've done that you can go to that area and grab those rules for yourself and then bring them back to FH and spread the regular open rule back into FH.

My main issue is Dollet and Fisherman's Horizon. So, I recently did this and my previous attempts from other methods were unsuccessful. I finally pulled this off to abolish the Sudden Death and Elemental rule. Which I am thankful for. But, my issue now is getting rid of the Plus rule in Dollet and FH. However, I was able to successfully abolish Random and Plus from Trabia Garden from a different method. I have the PS1 greatest hits that works for my PS3. I am on Disc 2.

Ive tried a few methods and ive had the opportunity to abolish the random rule in dollet. But when i went to get the Selphie card from the girl at Trabia Gardens, the random rule returns. It's so annoying. Update: So, after a long amount of running around and using other guides off this site to abolish random, and plus from certain places.. All my hard work paid off!! Lol. Now, if only I can get Plus abolished from Fisherman's horizon.

The method varies depending on the type of copy you are getting: whether it is the Xbox copy or the Sony copy, whether it is on tape or downloaded.

I’ve been doing this for a good few hours and I’ve only gotten it to work once. I keep getting Potions. I don’t understand what it is I’m going that’s wrong. I’m even counting out load up to 54 like I’m pre-schooler. It’s gotten to the point that instead of a hard reset I just deleted and reinstalled FFVIII on my PS5. Maybe then it’ll work for me again. Who knows! I might have to do that every time from now. And if it works I just fucking might.

I got one in about 10 minutes. Been trying to get a second one and it seems impossible. I know it works but man.... is it frustrating to miscount or get it right but find out you were a split second late since you get a potion. Just wanted to vent before heading to bed.

Great video. I was doing this a decade ago when I was 100% completing the game for the umpteenth time 😂 Would’ve been nice to have this video back then instead of figuring it out on my own 🤷‍♂️ I would only abolish “random”. The devs for these PS FF games knew we would be resetting for stuff so it was genius they gave us the sot reset.

Got this one on remaster. There is some leeway on the running timing as my party did momentarily stop one time.

Still works on remaster with no encounters or speed boost on. Just got one on my 3rd try thanks for saving me hours!

Chiming in years late to add that it doesn't matter if you use the directional pad or the joystick. It might work at 3x speed on PS4 but I didn't try. You can use 3x speed when saying no to card games, though. I managed to get rosetta stones even with a slight hiccup at the door (last gasp) which is easier to do smoothly with the joystick imho. That part requires a up AND right (not left) to get through. Exiting from the menu is fine to reset after saving. You don't have to exit the game fully or power down or anything. Queen is in Balamb.

Card works based on how much health the enemy has lost. For example you can do as little as 1 weak strike, and card can still work. But the more danage the better odds .

As of today, 2/26/23, you can no longer disenchant the alchemy Ring of Pure Mixtures, and so I think the Dev's have fignured out a way to stop this form of adjusting(?) the game. Too bad. I really wanted that enchantment. Also, when I turned the ring in you cannot pick it from Frida's pocket. It just isn't there. Fortunately I'd saved the game before I turned it in to her and so was able to just reload and still have the ring. So apparently the Resto Loop won't work any more. At least I don't know how to do it since I can't enchant the four items with fortify alchemy. Sad, but thanks for an interesting video.

Playing on Steam, FF8 non Remastered version. I couldn't get to make this work since I didn't understand very well if it was a Remastered thing or works on all FF8, so I grinded triple triad games until i "looted" 3 Rosetta Stones. Found this video while taking a break 1 hour after that, super well explained mate and thanks for taking the time to explain step by step everything, even the "transmute object" from Rosetta Stones. NEVER mode the Minotaur card its still better to hit lv 30+ and win them off of Lv 30+ Adamantoises besides I'll NEVER EVER USE 20x Elnolye cards EVER to make the Lionheart on disc 1. Save the Queen is worthless to make on disc for the same reason that I'll never use cards to make the Lionheart ever.
