They have a vibe generally only martin have … but all guitars come down to personal taste.

The new Martin guitars around 799 dollars made in Mexico are terrible..Not even made out of real wood..Nothing wrong with the Yamaha guitars. Seagull,Takamine and Taylor are good also.

They said lemon oil and linseed oil is bad to fret board. Linseed is sticky and lemon oil is drying out thw wood often thats why guitarist buy lemon oil more often. Since 2018 until now im only using baby oil green or pink . For my vibtage classical, acoustics and ukulele. Even when preserving strings when storing it in plastics ziplocks for a year or months

No. A properly installed wall hanger will not come off. You didn't install yours correctly. Do tv's fall off a wall? No.

Sir how about your fretboard do you encounter damage in your fretboard since it is always in contact with your sweat on hands?
@thelolguy0073 ай бұрын
You’ve answered the questions I had regarding the strings going dead quicker and fretboard drying out etc. That’s what I was thinking. Plus dust etc. I like the idea of it but I just don’t think it’s practical

Hype. They are VERY nice guitars... But I'm sorry, they just aren't worth the money they cost.

I encourage everyone, regardless of genre to check out the Barry Harris chromatic approach. It’s the most wholistic approach to chromaticism out there. Jerry would have absolutely been all over that had he run into it.

I have 6 guitars, acoustic and electric, that have been hanging on the wall for several years now. A few vintage (30's-40's). My father-in-law has maybe 40 guitars hanging (Martin's, Gibson's etc). That said, never even once have we had one fall from the wall, warped neck, cracked top or any damage at all. So if you had one fall, you used the wrong anchors. If you have fading, it's because you have them in the sun. If you have warped necks or cracked tops then you aren't regulating the moisture in your house. We use hygrometer's and keep the moisture at around 45. Never have i ever had someone come in my house and try to grab one, if you have that problem you may need to speak to your guests about manners and respect.

I bought my Martin from a high-end store that spent its life from delivery to sale hanging on the wall. I also have a digital gauge for humidity and temp to ensure it's living in the proper conditions.

I don’t know man… I’m going with overrated. They just sound dead to me. I guess I’m just used to the super bright sound of Taylor’s. This is my a difference of opinion though. Everybody has their preferred sound.

All guitar stores: "sure buddy" As a Carpenter with many years in the trade, you can easily look up the Sheer strength of said hardware you intend to use. (1) 1/4 lag bolt, 5 inches long can hold up to 300 lbs if installed correctly. if you use 6 lag bolts, thats up to 18,000 lbs sheer. each dry wall screw hold up to 75lbs if you use 4 in each hanger that's 300lbs per hanger. Math is easy.

The most fun I've had in many years is Martin and Taylor guitars, how? Well I show-up at open-mic with my $80 MartinSmith (brand new from eBay) and play all kinds of stuff that the posers can't do to save their lives. Tone? 🤣😂🤣😂Fools....shaping tone externally is not a big deal.

I'm a tradesman and when a proper course thread screw is used and screwed into a stud it'll hold much more than what a guitar weighs...
@crocholiday8 ай бұрын
If your guitar tore the hanger off the wall, you did not install it correctly. You may think you did, you may even be certain you did but you didn't. From an engineering standpoint, a #10 screw can resist 163# per inch of pull out force when installed in wood. Even a drywall screw is just slightly less. The arm of the guitar holder will act as a lever but even the heaviest Les Paul won't pull free on it's own. It would need quite a bit of additional weight or force applied. Screws into drywall on the other hand is absolutely worthless. If you mounted it to the wall minus anchors then yea, it'll eventually pull free. I suspect you missed the stud. I have had bass guitars hanging on my walls for decades with no issues of hangers pulling free. The advice to dispense here is if you don't know how to find a stud, find someone who can. If you can't use a stud, find a quality drywall anchor that can hold at least 4x the weight of your guitar.

If you learn how to mount things, they won't fall. I could mount a wrecking ball on the wall safely.....
@crocholiday8 ай бұрын
Exactly. If he was just hanging a typical Les Paul on a hanger that was just screwed into drywall then yea, just taking it on and off the hanger would be enough for it to eventually fall on it's own. Not a chance if it was in a stud.

APPRECIATE ❤the video!!! QUESTION?!? I have a GHS fast fret wax stick thing (attached to a wood handle, Not sure what it's all made of in it). Is it safe to use on my Martin??? I'm assuming it'll be good if I've used it on electric guitars in the past with rosewood, I'm thinking 🤔 this is no different rosewood. So I'm gonna say a prayer and await your info of reassurance or 💀 bad news from your opinion 🤞

When it comes to being nervous about playing and/or singing around others, I’ve always found that it’s much easier to play before a huge crowd than it is to play in front of a very small group of people. Not sure why this is but it’s true.

Thank you for these great tutorials, please keep 'em coming! I especially like the Tony Rice licks as they have such great tonality, technique and timing. You have also validated many long years working out locks,runs and turnarounds on my own because there aren't many bluegrass flickers in South Africa. Part from an incredible stroke of good fortune in 2001 when my bluegrass outfit The Bandits had the rare pleasure of meeting Eric Weissberg on his tour with Art Garfunckel we actually played a set with him on stage in a musical evening we'd laid on in his honour. He helped us all get going in the right direction over a 5 day period. Thank you again and I look forward to your wonderful insights! All the best from Bishopstowe, KwaZuu Natal, South Africa.

You fail to mention which hanger you used. String swing wall mounts can easily handle Les Paul's. I tend to think you used a cheap ass Amazon hanger. Less than half the price but you get what pay for.
