Two dislikes? That’s two too many for one of the best songs in any language. I bought “Seleniko” from Green Linnet in the 90s without ever having heard a note. Money well spent. I love this group.

Khumo Mashapa You should listen to her albums, like Oi Dai, Ilmatar or Seleniko. They're all on Spotify. As for her songs I particularly like Tumala, Kiirimina, Vot Vot ja Niin Niin and Mikä Miulla Mielessä. I don't know any similar artist, maybe Menaiset and Loituma.

Hiisi means sacred. It's connected to sacred groves and cemetaries. Christianity perverted Finnish pagan age words and concepts into devil worshipping, since pagan gods equalled devil to Christians. Thus the Finnish pagan sky god, Perkele/Piru now equals Devil to most Finns, only people who know of their pagan history know the origin of the words. Thus Perkele/Piru is the same deity worshipped by the Balts and the Slavs also, Perun and Perkunas by their names.
