This is really interesting I am very bitter that I did not have the chance to go to a university. I would have loved to study history at say Oxford or Cambridge, maybe not Sorbonne as my French is not that good. Still I am 34 years old I have a Bacholer's Degree in Accounting and Administration. I am also transitioning from being a retail worker to an investor. So it's not all bad. Additionally I speak English, Swedish (native language), Finnish (co-native: can't really write well) and I can read and understand about 5 other languages as well. I am an aspiring writer who would like to write spy fiction.

An update on the question about GCSE requirements & specifics on Maths for PPE Stream from Oxford Uni team- Although a background in Mathematics is not an essential requirement for admission, it is recommended, and PPE with Foundation Year applicants should have sufficient interest in, and aptitude for, mathematics to cope with the mathematical elements of the course. Mathematics is a particular advantage for the Economics and Philosophy components of the course, and for understanding theories and data in Politics. Hopefully this is helpful to anybody looking to apply to PPE Stream!

Wonderful. Thanks I also did a Master Degree in History from the University of Keleniya History Division Sri Lanka. My life was also like this during that time. Long hours of studies. Some time could see the morning tropical sun rise.

Are admissions a 'first come first serve' basis to fill up the student body spaces? Were admissions very academic based? Do extracurriculars matter as much? How were your personal essays like? What did it talk about? Does it matter as much as it does in the US?

Thank so much for these videos, I've been watching nearly all of them! Is there any way you could do a Q&A with people who have successfully re-applied?

Hi Antonia, great to hear you're finding them useful! We're in the process of planning one which will include students who re-applied. We don't know the exact date yet but we have provisionally planned it for August - keep an eye on the channel and our social media as we'll be announcing it there :)
