Pretty bad tips actually. I live by a river where the soil is pure sand and these plants take over like weeds in dry 115 degrees weather. But I guess this is what KZbin is for - fake professional promotion
@rustynellysjungle31664 ай бұрын
So I’m presuming you must live in a zone where the winter doesn’t kill them off. We don’t. They are not invasive in our zone because they cannot survive the cold. Also, if the plants are near a water source they can grow tap roots to reach the underground water, but you must have realized this prior to just being negative since you seem to be extremely knowledgeable about zone and placement differentials. Thanks for the input.

I know this is years late but... do you know when you got the wet srick, how long had it been cut and in moss before you received it? If it had a growing nub as it did i think it migjt have been for a while prior to you getting it, right?

Great video. Thanks for sharing. One side question...Can these be grown fully in water and not transplant them to soil?

Mine are in full sun michigan where everybody has them...I i have planted several plants.. i water regularly...but they get leaf burn..so how do i prevent sunburn
@rustynellysjungle31665 ай бұрын
@@carenallen5841 we have yet to be able to prevent the leaf burn during certain environmental conditions. It usually occurs when there is a strong sun and heat day right after rainfall. I suspect it I were to go out and shake the water off the leaves prior to the sunniest part of the day it would help, but really it doesn’t hurt the growth so we just let nature do her thing, if some leaves look too damaged we just trim them off.

Thank you, I found creeping Jenny at Walmart and got thinking… I have a bad spot in my yard that’s a weed covered slope that I can’t mow. This might be perfect for that spot. Maybe I’ll combine it with some vinca vine? Wouldn’t the light green and yellow go nice with the dark green vinca ?? My slope is a mix of sun & shade .

Can we take a moment and catch our breath from admiring the beauty here and remember- most garden centres, at least that I’ve been to, have the hosta they sell sitting out in the sun 🤔 jus sayin 😊 My shaded hostas we’re beautiful. I moved this spring and plunked everything in the existing full sun vegetable garden til flower bed is ready. My hostas are going crazy in full sun. So 🤷♀️

I just went out to prepare my containers for my tomatoes and peppers, I have cover crop in my containers and noticed 1000s of the mealy bug destroyers all over one my my pots. There must be some mealy bugs in that jungle of cover crop. I live in southern Oklahoma too, so strange. I’m sure it came from someone releasing them near me. With cannabis becoming legal here I bet that’s where these came from.
