I mostly only listen to Christian music and this popped up and listening to it and remembering my life this pretty accurate, at times it’s felt like this lonely and more but Jesus is that friend who we can talk to and I’ve everything to. Whether or not this is a Christian song or not it sounds like one and is relatable. I hope you will think on this.

Unfortunately this song has been ruined by today's vocal production technique to add loads of DISTORTION on top of the lead vocal. If you are unsure of the effect, then listen to the very last word he sings at the very end; "friend", You can hear the distortion ringing on. It sounds like harsh sandpaper sound. Billy has a wonderful voice and great tone, but he must have agreed to the effect to get the single printed "as is". This typical over distorted vocal sound (nasally sound) is now too common on many female vocals going back a few years now. Hopefully it will stop being flavour of the month, like many other music production effects over the past few decades. One positive... I'm glad they avoided the typical production technique, to add over bloated orchestration onto the production as typical when verse two etc comes in, and they had the courage to leave the song bear for a more personal and emotional production. Just a tambourine on the back beat - GREAT !
