Love your bag and your instructions are nice and clear. I have watched this many times and I am finally going to give this a try! I am wondering if you have another option for attaching a shoulder strap? Using the side tabs with D ring just isn't a natural way for the bag to hang. I have made bags this way and it seems to pull on that tab. I would like to figure out a way to make the tab face upright vs sideways.

Soooo, when u stitched the top edge of the bag (step 6), where are your eyes looking? My top edge stich is always crooked and i have the same machine! Its driving me nuts😊
@NikkiandMallory16 күн бұрын
😆my eyes were wide open! You should consider drawing an erase-able stitch guideline before stitching

I use thin leather for my wool and leather crossbody bag. What inner facing should I use to make it not floppy or flimsy? Please?

Bag stiffener. They come in a variety of materials and weights depending on how sturdy (or not) you need it

can you use the punch needle directly on the leather instead of monk cloth?

No. Leather is a skin. Monk cloth is a cloth that's perforated.

Great video, thanks! As a bagmaker, I'm very curious how you're sewing over a metal zipper so easily? Everyone warns that doing so will cause needles to break and fly off, even on an industrial, and yet you're going right through them as if they were nylon...

Yep, never had an issue. Been doing it since fashion design school.

When using the zipper lining method, do you cut the lining narrower than the outside fabric? You say the zipper should be the same width as the lining.

A rectangular wooden stand which fits to front side, attached with a piece of hdpe cutting board, will make the marble sit steady. Thus learned from Masters A rectangular ferrite or neodymium magnet on the pole will be enough to hold Osbone and bigger handle punches

Hi! I’m going to do a video on hardware soon. Cheap hardware will tarnish. Always. Some hardware is expensive and doesn’t tarnish but you can also find inexpensive hardware that doesn’t tarnish

First time viewer, I'm new to leather work and self taught but I'm already making some nice stuff (you might dig on my watch cuffs). I'm working in thicker leather, 3mm - 4mm, in an apartment, hand stitching... It hit me yesterday while working out a holster that a "press of some kind" would be a smart idea. That's what brought me here, I've decided to go with and arbor press... BTW, you can shape the fatter handles down to fit the machine - Good stuff, Sister.....
