This game is frustrating. Nothing is explained in game. One example. Have a dead person in camp and no idea how to dispose of body. I don’t really wanna watch and research for hours just to figure out how to do basic things.

I watch all the xcom 2 stuff, challenge runs, drifter, syken, odd, and it is wild I’m just now finding multi. Looks like it is run similar to total war multiplayer with squad costs.

can u just go anywhere on the map to gather resources, or u only have to go on the blips? for example like an open field, go there and scavege steel esc.

that is the worst way to open explaining what eve is xD, no one wants to go to a boss, fight it , but instread of killing it and getting some loot you get killed from an outside source that you have no control over and lose all your stuff that you worked for xD nice way to scare off new players for sure.

Why is this vid 19min long? I ll break it down for newbros 1. If you fail a hack, you take 10k explosive dmg, 12500 in j space. 2. Enemys spawn 75-180 seconds After you enter the site. (they will scram you and explode the crates, which makes you take 10k dmg) always assume you only have 75 seconds, unless your cargo is empty at the Start and you want to gamble. Advice, fit a heron with shield buffer and explosive hardener, you can Tank the dmg if you fail Use a cargo Scanner to find the most valuable crate. Even if you are very Quick, more than 2 crates is dangerous, usually the mainframe contains the best loot, scan it first. If you scan in lowsec (which you shouldnt, null is more value) there will be 5 crates, the one above the rest ALWAYS contains an item worth 200m You are welcome, save yourself from endlessly stretched out eve KZbin "guides"

I made a 1 man Mechanoid playthrough and I can't figure out how to make my mechs carry anything. It says they add to the caravan weight limit. So far I can only carry 35kg.

For everyone who's whining about how it's unfair to gank others, if you're ganked, it's your fault, not the attacker's. I am an explorer too and never got ganked in 4 years. Many have tried but never succeeded. You need to plan your route, and you need to avoid the systems where ships have recently been killed and where there are many players. If you see in the local that there are too many people in the system, create a few safe locations between the warp points and constantly use your D-Scan at about 5AD after triangulating the positions of the other pilots in the system at 14AD when cross-warping. The best place to go is Nul-Sec, it's the least crowded. Maybe with a "Noise-5 Needlejack" The art is multitasking, you have to scan relics and datasites simultaneously while operating the D-Scan to warp away in time if another player warps to your position. You can usually see this beforehand when combat probes appear on the D-Scan. So you already know 2-3 minutes before that someone is about to go ganking and you can prepare for it. (Aim at the security target, etc. It's dangerous to fly through low-sec on the way back. It's better to use a home-5 filament and then scan for high-sec wormholes, you'll get from nul-sec straight into 0.7 -1.0 high-sec No autopilot, jump straight through the gates and dock Also in high-sec there are players who scan passing ships and then kill you when you come home with 800mil.

I have a pawn with a shattered spine, he was a survivor from a group of raiders that my colonists got rid of. I captured him and recruited him, only noticing he couldn't walk once he was fully healed. I thought about harvesting his organs and euthanizing him. I harvested one of his kidneys and then changed my mind, I took it like a little disagreement between members of the colony, until the leader made a final decision. I wanted to do everything in my hands to not give up on him after that. So now I'm researching bionics to one day give him a bionic spine. I've lived in the same piece of sandstone where an ancient danger has been since the colony's first steps, and I finally decided to open it. It had 4 cryptosleep caskets inside, so now I'm thinking about using one of them to freeze the guy until I can make him walk again, so he's not a hindrance to the colony. A quest opportunity just recently showed up though; if I can protect 4 rescued homelanders for 15 days, the main faction I have relationships with will hand me 2 healer mech serums, so hopefully he'll be able to walk sooner than later. And when a caravan from this faction last visited, I also noticed the man has a sister that's part of the faction, so I'm more than glad of my decision now. I should probably give him the kidney back too lol

Quick question. What god mode mod that you used to show this? I looked for it in steam and can’t find it. Would be great to use that to test out base designs.

I don't know what game you're playing, but caravans always take at minimum 2000 pemmican to move just a few hexes on the map for 2 people. Incredibly broken game feature and it's NEVER been worth running a caravan. Your people ALWAYS starve to death because they cannot carry enough food. Insane that they add a feature where your colonists need to eat 100+ meals per game day just to be moving through terrain.

I'm barely getting into this but my biggest piece of advice is play solo colonist mode. Ever try meeting three or five people at once? Near impossible. Get to know your one base colonist? Easy peasy. Few weeks with just one personand you'll be bffs. You'll know him better than most family members. then as you add colonists or prisoners slaves you will know how to utilize them

This was very helpful as a relatively new human player trying to determine the simple strategic uses of melee and ranged in rimworld. It seems like a Rock Paper Scissors dynamic except there’s just 2 (ranged can kite melee pawns and melee can blitz ranged pawns)

I wonder what people mean by "rts elements". Do they mean you can build your own base and gather resources to create more party members? The game looks somewhat interesting, though I am wary that it may've confused sheer size of the map with good design. I'll have to check it out.
