white sharks do hang out at the mouths of rivers during certain times of the year: in NorCal and the rest of the West Coast, it's during the 'spawning runs' of salmon and steelhead because, those also attract seals and sea lions---and even if those are not around, white sharks are not averse to eating salmon either, especially if they're focused on getting upriver. Back in the late 1970s a large (5+ meter) white shark beached in Southern Alaska. When a 'necropsy' was performed, it was found to have large masses of these odd translucent 'disks' in it's stomach, which turned out to be the 'eye lenses' of salmon (apparently the last thing to be digested); so even though it was over 15 feet long, it was feeding on salmon.

This guy has problems; he isn't a bad person, just a deeply flawed individual. In his mind, he's standing up for someone and being a "good friend", but abusing a child as a result. I'm betting he had neglectful parents, creating an environment in which he had no advocate. He might see himself in the ridiculing; choosing to stand up for those he respects as a result of no one doing the same for his himself.

These idiots trying to say this is the 8 foot great white named Brunswick that’s tagged … there is no ocearch tag on this shark it would be on the dorsal fin .. clearly there’s no tag.. this shark is as big as the boat .. Brunswick is only 8 foot .. this shark is huge and girthy .. the mouth is wide open as it approaches the boat because it’s a basking shark .. which spends its days at the surface mouth agape feeding on plankton .. the dorsal fin is always identifier as it is big and floppy .. a white shark has a sharper angled dorsal that not floppy .. please stop embarrassing yourselves

It looks like a great white. If it is in northern canada this is highly unusual. Canadian waters are generally far too cold for most sharks.
