Thank you for sharing ❤ First I want to say I’m sorry about your dog. I’ve lost two dogs in the last three years and miss them so much. I also like to think that they’re in heaven with restored bodies. 😭 Second, just want to share how encouraging this week’s verse is. I’m struggling a lot lately in many ways, sometimes feel like giving up to be honest. But the more I meditate on this verse, I am reminded to keep my eyes on Christ. ❤

I’m so sorry for your loss! I miss my boy so much! Dogs truly embody unconditional love-they don’t care if your hair is messy, if you’re rich or poor, they’re always there, excited to see you. Losing them is incredibly tough. I've been having a hard time processing especially when I'm already facing health issues and other challenges. I completely understand how overwhelming life can feel, but there’s still so much good to hold onto, and it helps to remember that these hardships are temporary. I try to remind myself that I’ve felt this way before, thinking it was the hardest thing I’d ever face, but with time, everything always turned out alright. It’s definitely easier to navigate life’s ups and downs with God by your side. With Him, we have the strength to face whatever comes our way, even when it feels unbearable. Stay strong-you’re not alone in this, if you ever need to talk don't be scared to DM my sister <3

This was so incredibly helpful to understand and follow! Thank you so much…this should be required viewing for anyone thinking about getting into fountain pens. My first was a Pilot Varsity just to try out what a fountain pen was (the $6 one you can get at Target) and I thought…this is cool, but I know a “real” fountain pen will be awesome. (Plus, at the time Levenger kept sending me their beautiful catalog to drool over.) My first ‘real’ fountain pen was a Lamy Safari special version because it was metal (beautiful metallic sage green) and I loved it. However, the weight of a pen didn’t occur to me (or the tripod grip style) and while the pen was beautiful, wrote beautifully (and I like the ease of cartridges with the option of using a syringe) it was heavy for my hands, and the tripod grip of the Lamy would hurt my finger after a while. But, I used it constantly at work to sign documents, write short to-do’s, schedule, etc, and it was well loved for years. It died a tragic death (even more tragic for my purse contents) when I accidentally brought it on a flight rolling around loose in my purse 🤦🏽♀️ Make sure and research how to travel on an airplane with a fountain pen either in the cabin, or stored luggage below deck! I’m looking to buy a Kaweco Sport and my biggest debate is the Navy vs the Forest Green, lol. I’d eventually like to get the Kaweco Student…I absolutely love the retro look of it. Thank you also so much for explaining how the German and Japanese nibs differ in size. I got a Platinum Preppy in EF and it’s barely usable on anything but really high end paper (and even then I find it scratchy and I love fine lines) and the F is still very fine, but not scratchy at all and will write on anything. Good to know! Definitely look up the weight of a pen, and weigh your favorite long holding weight pen on a kitchen/postal scale to get a comparison. I definitely would have gotten the plastic Lamy Safari if I had thought about the weight of the pen and how that would impact my enjoyment of it.

This is the sweetest comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed this one! I went through so much trial and error when I first started using fountain pens. I wanted to create a beginner's guide to help others avoid the same mistakes or at least not have to scour the internet for this info. The first fountain pen I ever used was a varsity too from Michaels. I split those tines thinking it was like the flex nibs I saw in calligraphy videos, lol, Your first pen sounds lovely! I love sage green and heavy pens so it sounds perfect for me, but the tripod style is something that made me avoid Lamys, my grip is a little odd. Oh no your purse!!! That's one thing I missed in the video. My all time favorite pen, the Pilot Custom 823 is the ultimate travel pen! That blind screw cap seals the pen entirely so no accidents happen, the only downside is that you have to unscrew the blind cap a few mm to allow the ink to flow through every time you want to write with it. If it's sealed you can still easily get an entire A5 page before the ink left over in nib feed starts to completely run out. I enjoy the extra step, it has become instinctual for me at this point, like a little writing ritual. As for your kaweco sport, I would go with forest green lol My green pens are my favorite! I feel like I can put any ink in there and it just goes perfectly. I could never shake off the habit of trying to match my inks or at the very least have a nice color combo. The Kaweco is such a good pen too, I love that you can take it apart and find replacement nibs so easily. It took me a long while to figure out that I prefer finer nibs so that was really helpful to experiment with different sizes.Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! Started printing last night and I’m almost finished printing now🎉 I’m not technically inclined to figure out all you have with landscape mode and the booklet 😂 I just wish my printer printed faster

Hi, this is awesome! I purchased it, but do you have printing directions on this? I have tried several times and it just doesn't come out correctly. When I print in Adobe Acrobat/Reader, I print it as a double-sided booklet and the backside prints upside down. I have also printed is NOT as a booklet but then the pages don't match up when folded together. Is this meant to use digitally only? Thanks!

Thank you for support, it means so much to me!!🥰 I made it so it could go through basic printing settings so it’s easier. I’m not sure if ko-fi sent the instructions with it, but basically keep the file exactly as is and print only half of the document and re-feed the back of printed pages through. It should come out perfect and ready to fold the entire stack. My family friends and I have basic home printers and it worked well. I’m sorry about the confusion, for the next one I’ll just keep it as single sheets

I just printed it out and followed the instructions but the first set didn’t print out correctly when I saved it to my files on my iPad. I also saved it to my procreate and printed it out through there as well and it also didn’t print out correctly. It’s almost like you print the first pages 1-7 then leave them in the order printed and then print 14-8 backwards in order for it to work? I’m not sure but my printer is sloooooooow as molasses 😂 and it’s taken me over an hour to print both of these and they’re not printing correctly. Which page needs to be first when printing the second round? Maybe this will help me figure it out lol 🫶🏼

@@blakeley-shea Oh my goodness I'm so sorry! so you almost had it right, Print the pages 1-7 then flip it around and print pages 8-14 exactly, don't change the order around for either one. just keep the stack. It seems confusing to look at, but you have to trust the process. To answer your q, pg 8 should be first the one that has the prayer and self reflection quiz 2. Also, pay attention to how your printer spits them out and make sure it matches the previous, example: if the headings print out towards the right side then when feeding the paper back to the printer make sure the heading are still on the right, I hope this helps

I’m, not giving up lol I’m going to figure it out…the devil is trying so hard for this not to work…but I’m determined lol So I did that both times and it still printed out wrong. I’m wondering if my printer is printing it out in order 1-7 with page 7 being last or if it’s printing it out 1-7 with page 7 first meaning on top. I’ll figure it out regardless 🫶🏼

I wonder if printers just print in different orders. Do you have any suggestions? I can quickly create it for you if you'd like? BTW I did start a discord, for this series. There is not much in there as of yet, but Lord willing, I'm hoping sisters will join when I publicly announce it on the October release this weekend. Hello, Paris! I didn’t know about your health situation! I have an autoimmune sickness that makes me feel really bad when it comes back (in all ways)! I am also trying to find peace and gratitude above all the circumstances which is not easy and it goes ups and downs but it certainly worth it! I also have two small children and I know how can be challenging to take care of others when you aren’t fine at all… you have all my understanding and admiration ❤

I was using fountain pens for a long time. I think it was 6th grade - 2003, maybe 7th. I am left handed and I had a lot of problems with gel pens in school when taking notes, so I have tried to use one of my dad's fountain pens (It was a Parker pen. I am not sure if I still have that same one or it is a different one) and I fall in love with it. :) Right now I have 5 fountain pens inked (a Kaweco Sport Sage green (B), 2 Lamy Safari - Strawberry (LH) and Cream (EF), a Faber-Castell Ambition OpArt Coral (F) and a Rotring ArtPen(F)). I have 2 more Parker ones somewhere in a box. One steel pen from my dad's collection and one that I got from my husband when we were still in Uni like almost 12 years ago, that has a creaked body now unfortunately. Furthermore, I have just ordered 2 Ferris Wheel Press with a really good deal of 2for1 Joule Pens (Hopefully I won't regret it). I still thinking about a Pilot Custom 823 as I heard a lot of good thing about it and it looks gorgeous. But price wise it is a big investment and cost too much for a mistake.

I love how you have a few sentimental pieces in your collection! Those are the special ones <3. The joule pens are nice, I only have one, but it's so beautiful and writes nicely especially with the glittery inks. Idk what feeds FWP uses, but they never clog! The price for the Pilot was well worth it, I think I would happily pay more if I knew that I would love it so much! I took a leap of faith after starting at the Pilot custom 823 for almost 2 years and I wish I bought this pen first. I think if I had I would probably have just this and one or two Twsbis and just be set for the rest of my life, lol. So far I have yet to find a better nib than the Custom 823. Most of my pens are surprisingly smooth and good writers, but the Custom is just exceptional and then the body is so nice! It feels like an extension to your hand, Idk I could write forever with it. Lol I just wrote an entire love letter to this pen.

Paris, this had to be in Gods plan for it couldn’t have come at a more needed time. I have been struggling with two significant health issues for a number of years. This was the year that I was planning to get a grip on all the chaos caused by this. Here comes September with very few changes, I was doing less and less and starting to feel crazy and lazy. I was sent to a few drs. and had a few test that were all good but one of the drs. Was concerned about my heart rate, sent me for echocardiogram and boom, on Wed I find out that my heat is only functioning at 26%. Had a L and R side heart catheteration. The Lord was with me, keeping me calm and I am so thankful that my heart should strengthen with meds. in 3 to 12 months. It’s all still new and overwhelming to me but I have hope knowing the Lord, my family and friends are here to support me.

I too have been going through scary health related things that are unrelated and just last week I was diagnosed with something totally unexpected and life changing. I'm so sorry about your heart! I'm glad they caught it on time and that the Lord gave that doctor the wisdom to order that test! Even so, I know how scary it is with everything new as I am in the same boat! May God continue to comfort you during this crazy time. I'm glad God led you here! You are certainly not alone in this issue, I'm happy you have a good support system too, that s so important!

I’m not a bible collector, but I would like to add one more to my mini Bible stack, a quentel size as my eyes get tired and text starts to blur after a while

@@FrenchyInFocus Hi Paris! First of all, thank you for your response, it made me very happy, and I truly hope you’re doing well. The news about the monthly Faith Journal is fantastic. I really believe you have a talent for this and surely in many other things, and I’m certain that God will use you for His purposes. I also think many other people would appreciate a Faith Journal like yours. One of the big challenges is getting it known and not getting discouraged. I understand that it can be frustrating at times, but the Lord knows our hearts, our intentions, and opens doors. Sometimes we put a lot of pressure and expectations on ourselves, but in reality, I believe that our "only" task is to be faithful to Him and to offer our talents and passions for His kingdom. He takes care of the rest ❤️. To answer your questions briefly, the answer to all is no. I wasn’t able to read your message or watch your videos because I paid 15 dollars; I’m not subscribed monthly, and they say you need to pay 5 dollars monthly for access. To be honest, I’m not very skilled with various technologies, websites, etc., so it’s possible that the problem is just on my end, and honestly, I didn’t spend much time trying to figure out how it works...

@@michespapernook I did the same! I found my self preferring a smaller size as I love taking my journals with me, especially my prayer one. 2025 I’ll be going a bit smaller, a B6 Slim, it’s going with me everywhere! 😂

@@michespapernook I plan on using the Sterling ink full year to house my prayers and memory keeping with Midori B6 Slim booklets for little bible studies, I just hope it all fits in my cut up TN 🙈

‼I have decided to include KZbin memberships as an alternative way to access these exclusive videos and content. I will be testing out both Ko-fi and KZbin memberships to see which one works best for our community. Whichever platform turns out to be the most popular and feels like the best fit for us will be the one I continue with going forward into October ☺
