Thanks for the review, but I think honestly in that price range most of the ones I’ve looked at. I may not have looked at the mall. I’ve built pretty much the same way with different branding, did you happen to come up with a heavy duty version that would hold up to professional use? I’m not sure if you’ve done a review on one or not but if you have, could you post the link to your video or if you know of any thanks

It’s the little details that Milwaukee is great at. I just purchased the 9 gallon. I do wish the filter bags came with the unit, but not such a big deal. I also like that Milwaukee has many other products already assembled. I just navigated to the Milwaukee ecosystem this year. The quality of products is exceptional. However, the price point is a big higher than their competitors. I usually wait for online sales, and also scour different sites for battery sales.

I found an open splice under my kitchen sink cabinet that was arcing and making a sizzling noise. Not only was an open splice buried under the cabinet without a junction box(code violation), but it was in a possible wet location(serious lack of common sense), a leaky sink, valve in a supply line, or disposal are common leaks. The disposal in my kitchen sink started leaking (internal seal went bad) which got the open spice wet, the paper in the Romex wet, causing the arcing against the wood of the cabinet carcass. The icing on the cake was that the electrical genius never connected the ground wires together, the incompetence was epic. I was pissed as my house could have burned down all because some POS did not want to take the time to run new piece of Romex from the breaker box when the piece they cut was too short or put the splice in a properly accessible junction box. I am putting the splice in a steel 2 gang box with a cover plate in a dry location two cabinets away from the sink, properly grounding the wires and box, and I am running 12/2 w/G UF-B out of the box to go under the sink and dishwasher, per code UF-B can be used in wet or dry locations within a home as well as direct ground burial.

What do you use on 2" EMT conduit? I like large conduit never use anything smaller then 1" just DIY on my own house I use a dremel but it takes awhile with 80 grid barrel tube. Regular deburring tool with the swivel end just catches.

The scanner "steps down" it's sensitivity as it detects signals. Going over the panel multiple times will yield better results as it will become less sensitive over time and return only the strongest signal. False signals can be caused by devices running on the circuit. I found fans to be particularly problematic at causing false positives. Try to have all loads turned off while scanning. It's not a hyper accurate device, but it saves a LOT of time when "mapping" your electrical system.

as someone who has one of these, dont get one it will be cheaper to hire someone to do the job. i actually ran the numbers of hours used and repairs constantly needed and it would have been cheaper to pay someone 70$ per hour to use their own equipment. This is after 5 years of use. have had to replace both treads several belts and all three spindles before the 400 hr mark. and after the 400 hr mark the starter is going bad due to old age from the authorized mechanic.

You demonstrated this with an outlet that has power. But what if the fuse to that outlet and there is no power; does your demonstration also work if the outlet doesn’t have power to help you find the correct circuit breaker that blew? Because years ago if the circuit breaker blew then the circuit breaker would move slightly but that doesn’t happen these days anymore and I’m trying to use this tool for find the correct breaker, please.

Just got this with a free XC 8.0 battery for $220 at HD. Made sure to get the bags for it too. Would have been nice if Milwaukee included the wet foam filter. Very pleased with the overall quality, especially the hose. I totally agree with you regarding the bags! They should have included at least one to give customers the idea. I wouldn't have thought about buying any bags if I just bought the vacuum without any research.
