Hard disagree on this one 1.bloodborne Perfects "soulslike" combat, has enough of dark souls 1's world design that it doesn't feel like straight paths but not enough that the player gets lost. The best atmosphere of any of these games. 2.sekiro Incredible story and world, bosses are unrivalled and combat is near perfect. 3. Dark souls 1 The first half has perfect vertical world and level design, the combat still feels responsive and satisfying and while some of the bosses are a little wonky the game is still very forgiving for new players with the world design allowing for a come back later approach to feel forgiving to new players 4. Dark souls 3 Great combat, very interesting themes however it's clearly catered towards veterans of the series to the point it can be extremely unforgiving to new players. Far far too many bonfires and quite dull level design (outside of the cathedral of the deep) 5. Elden ring Great for the first 30 hours or so, suffers due its scale as the developers have no idea how powerful a player will be at any point of the game meaning that the end game areas and bosses are broken in terms of difficulty and are mostly designed around summons to be fair. Unrewarding exploration, excessive reuse of bosses and basic enemies used as bosses taking the novelty out of encounters. It's high points are it's legacy dungeons but none of them are as good as areas in the games placed above. Quests were also nearly impossible to complete on launch as map size made it incredibly hard to find any npc meaning that the story was heavily impacted negatively. 6. Dark souls 2 Really jarring combat but brings a lot new to the formula with a lot of it working and being used in later sequels. Majula is the best soulslike hub. Extremely mid boss design with few highlights. Best dlc of the series though. 7. Demons souls Haven't played it, can't give a rating.

Dark Souls 3 at #1 is crazy. Dark Souls 2 and 3 were mostly unnecessary. Miyazaki wasn't in charge of from when the sequels were pushed out, now that he is I doubt we are gonna see sequels pumped out like the souls series. That's a good thing each new IP brings something fresh and doesn't convolute the story of its predecessors. I would rank Dark Souls 2 & 3 at the bottom due to this, neither really stands on their own. They both have neat ideas and gameplay but lore wise they are a total mess. I do think Armored Core and perhaps Kingsfield will receive sequels going forward, but they are not Miyazaki originals and have a history of sequels already well-established.

Nice video, my only suggestion is turn the music down more when you're speaking and fade in/out when you start/stop talking. It was more of a problem in the early minutes. Hope you're doing ok in those dlcs 💀
