Green Acres was excellent; very well written with a tremendous cast. All of the main cast members have passed away. Alvy Moore (Hank KImble) was my favorite. He was hilarious. I read that his lines were so convoluted that he couldn't remember them and had to read them from Q cards.

This absolutely slays, the writing is so incredibly good. And literally any time someone says "a ratio" I say, out loud and to blank stares, "Poor Horatio!" Just love this episode so much.

They said....Namath was great on the set...Really down to the earth and relatable....Joe has had his demons...But I always thought he was a good dude....Read the things that both Chuck Knox and Pat Haden said about him after he was benched while with the Rams in 1977....nothing but class.

@@Tommy1977777 I really enjoy all the characters, but Barney made the show in my opinion. It was so funny but it had many lessons to be learned. The episode with the 3 baby birds and Mr. McFelley come to mind. A great show the whole family could watch. Now there are so many references in comedy to off color things and the little ones ask, "daddy what does he/she mean?"

I always have thought that Schulz saw EVERYTHING. He did not agree with his country's politics, and intentionally played dumb.
@alecbrinker726829 күн бұрын
I have always believed Schultz was Nimrod. It was an act and he was helping the operation without Hogan knowing it.
@cindydott45229 күн бұрын
@@alecbrinker7268 Exactly. I always picture him at the end of the war. I imagine him walking up to Hogan and shaking his hand, and giving him a wink. Maybe even joking that since he's a heavy man, he was always careful not to walk over the tunnels.
@emurphy4222 күн бұрын
@@alecbrinker7268While a number of people may have been playing dumb to help out, it's been suggested that Burkhalter or Hochstetter were more likely candidates for Nimrod because they moved around more and had access to more intel.

Apparently Hogan’s Heroes was a big influence on Recess. They even had a gag in one of the episodes. To be frank I haven’t seen one single episode of Hogans but just looking at the lead American POW I can tell where TJ’s swagger came from.

I could never figure out why the one and only tunnel out of camp was the "emergency tunnel". That term implies that there are other tunnels that get used under normal circumstances.
@jacobhargiss383927 күн бұрын
I think they called it the emergency tunnel because they have it in case they need to get out, but their overall plan is to stay in the camp to collect information on the German War effort. If they wanted to escape, they could, but they are getting more done from inside the camp. So, naturally, the escape tunnel only gets used in emergencies.
