Omg, PLEASE take your time and make sure there isn't too much glue on the lash and add that cluster right at your lash line! And yes, it's cost a pretty penny to get your lashes done, so hopefully you can give it another go when you can! You got this!! 🥰

@KrissyWalks
@KrissyWalks 7 ай бұрын
Yes! 1 reason is to show the 2 types of products I use, but 2 is because the gel I use at the front has a stronger hold than the one at the back. And I care much more about how it looks in the front! And I try not to cause too much build up in my hair, and I know the heavy the product is, the more build up it'll cause. So if I can get away with using a lighter product, I will therefore I use it ar the back or sometimes all over! It really depends on the look I'm going for

Hey sis, surgery is a really really really big irreversible step. Barriatric surgery is literally removing part of your stomach and there will likely be complications down the line, espicially if you are planning children. Meanwhile if you are a emotional eater, it will not stop the emotional cravings, you will still want to eat all the food, but simply become sick or even injured when eating it. Have you explored other options like some type of temporary appetite suppression combined with work with a persona trainer ?

Hey girl! I have a video talking about my journey and struggle with weight loss and gain, and I kinda went into some things that I did to do it on my own! I understand the concern, but this is something I want to help supplement the changes needed to lose and, most importantly, KEEP the weight off. I understand the complications, and as long as im following the steps, imma be fine. I have faith in this working out for me. And I've seen A LOT of other people online and in my life personally that it worked for that also talk about the repercussions and guess what? They usually happen when they aren't doing what's supposed to be done after the fact. Also, gastric bypass is reversible. And as long as im following the plan it would also BOOST fertility as a lot of overweight women like myself have issues with conceiving and having safe pregnancys due to their weight and complications that can even arise with that. In my program, they won't clear you for surgery if you don't show signs of you being able to curve the habits that you have, emotional eating, eating disorders, binging, etc. You can lie to them, but that won't help anyone. As long as each individual that gets this surgery works hard and holds themselves accountable and be truthful with themselves and the medical team, I think they'll be fine for the most part. I'm okay with leaving behind the bad foods for a healthier lifestyle where I feed my body nutrition over just cartering to my tongue. I already started making a few changes 😊 Thanks for your comment and for watching my video. I do appreciate the concern as this is a BIG step towards a healthier lifestyle for myself.

@@KrissyWalks I hear you but as a daughter of a nurse and having a family member who did undergo a gastric sleeve and is still chronically overweight, a bypass or a sleeve is not “reversible” this is still a organ of your body that is undergoing trauma, and doesn’t heal like skin. If you are going into surgery overweight, you are at a increase risk of blot cots, or infection. In fact 20% of all patients from this surgery have short/long term complications, that is almost 1/4. Meanwhile, like I said, making your stomach small when you are a emotional eater or have food addiction won’t be a useful tool for detouring you from overeating. Many of us emotional eaters or binge eaters will still eat even when after we are full or stuffed. As a result 76% of patients regain the weight after only a 6 year follow up.

@@KrissyWalks I was overweight in the beginning of 2021 after a really distressing breakup, and it took me 2 years to lose 40 lbs, and then by the end of 2023, I gained most of it back. I did not want to use a PT. Resisted it, and didn’t see the point if trying on my own didn’t work. I am about to go into 3 weeks with a PT. I was implore ANYONE who is trying to lose significant weight to hire a PT, specifically one who trains like a natural body builder, and request a meal plan. Stick with it and do everything she says. Just a few weeks with her I have learned pretty much everything I was doing wrong in my diet plan, and exercise and lost like 7 lbs. there is a lot of nutritional misinformation out there, and it’s very easy to jump from diet plan to diet plan hoping for something to stick. A gastric sleeve is going to be upwards of $10,000, my PT charges me $420 per 10 sessions and a meal plan, for context that’s $2K annually, a cruise ticket is typically $5K, a weave install is upwards of $300 + the weave. Since you are VERY VERY YOUNG, exploit EVERY option and give it your all before undergoing a surgery like this. Our gen tends to think that surgery is no big deal, bc so many people are getting BBL’s, and fillers.
@KrissyWalks
@KrissyWalks 7 ай бұрын
@laela6289 my surgeon and Google, says the gastric BYPASS or Roux en y is reversible. Not the sleeve as they remove up to 80 percent of your stomach out. The bypass procedure does remove some but not as much as the sleeve.im getting the bypass. I understand what can happen and how it may not help emotional eating, but just like how you can learn the bad ways of your past diet and correct it, persons getting the surgery can do that too as long as they put their minds to it. If you believe persons that get the surgery won't follow the meal plan is one thing but I don't think it's right to try to put doubt in persons mind to say they wont change their eating habits. Or assume they haven't tried other things before reaching this path. I live in Canada, and with my bmi, conditions, and weight, I qualify to get this surgery through OHIP, making this surgery completely free of charge. The only thing I need to get is medicine to prevent blood clots and to coat my stomach for only 6 weeks or less and vitamins. Nothing else. I'm happy you were able to find something that works for you and a personal trainer to teach you things about your body and nutrition. But please be mindful that not everyone is the same. You mention 76 percent of people regain? Well, I'm hoping to be within the 34 percent that keeps it off.

@KrissyWalks
@KrissyWalks 7 ай бұрын
*Sorry in advance for the long response.* That totally makes sense as to why you're scared, especially seeing people close to you going through those complications. It's tough. And I'm so sorry they're going through life with such an amount of pain. And I know I didn't get the surgery and go through those motions yet so please take this with a grain of salt. In terms of the vitamins, I see myself possibly not buying as much food/fast food and the general amount I'll be able to eat as an exchange for the now vitamins I would need to take. It's important to take them and you list a few reasons why- to prevent nutrient/vitamin deficiencies that cause pain within your body/organs and to prevent conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. If you know you aren't able to buy vitamins for the surgery and for the potential of a lifetime, then I don't think the surgery is right for you It's also important to be moving your body and exercising too. "if you don't use it you'll lose it" Also, I was told that fiber is really important and I've seen a lot of people taking Miralax or some sort of stool softener throughout their journey (I've been taking psyllium husk) to combat the constipation. And again if you aren't able to adjust to this lifestyle and implement certain things in your life to prevent the risk of this surgery from happening to you then again I don't think it's best for you and I think you made a good decision not to do the surgery. I haven't seen many people get fillers after surgery at all so I don't know what to say much. I'm assuming they lost too much weight and they don't personally like the look of their face? Again take this with a grain of salt, but I think they would benefit from getting in more carbs to help gain a little weight back into her face to fill it out. It's a WHOLE lifestyle change that needs to happen, and anyone going through it mind body, and soul needs to be re-worked. Like I said in the video, it's good to know the risks to be able to prevent them. Do your research and speak to medical professionals to help out as well. Or people that done the surgery and been through it.

@@KrissyWalks 👋🏼 when I said not have access to the vitamins as an older adult I was meaning of something different. access as far as getting them , not like what you were thinking not having money for them, that was not what I was saying. Let me be more clear, as we get older we loose our ability to be sharper at thinking , remembering, making clear decisions, it’s called executive functioning skills which can be mild as we get well up in age or some people get Alzheimer’s…. You can developer that as early as your 50s I’m in my 50s now which I’m sure is a big difference in age between you and I which could explain why I’m thinking about the age and aging part of it and your not. So basically once you age and you go through stages in life memory can become an issue so having access to the vitamins,,, remembering to buy them on time , remembering to even take them … how will that affect the body of an older person who don’t have the strong immune system as a younger person. Hope that is more clearer for you. Well wishes on your journey

Hey Celine, thanks for watching! And the humber river was completely chosen for me. I started seeing my bariatric doctor in July 2023 and officially got put into the program in November 2023. I'm still waiting on final assessments in order to get a surgery date. Being on the wait list provides you with time to think about this decision and time to make life changes you'll need even after the surgery to apply to your life. But if you're ready, then go outside Canada to do so. I've heard a lot of people doing the VSG in Mexico, and the programs were about $5000 or less, and everything went well! Goodluck!!

Why do you use the jam in front and the other product at the back? Hair looks great
@KrissyWalks
@KrissyWalks 7 ай бұрын
Aha great question. I do that because I feel like the jam has a better hold than the other product (mango and lime locking firm wax) And I care more about what the front looks like. But If I can get away with putting lighter products in my hair then I will so I do half and half, sometimes though. Other times its all jam or all mango and lime locking firm wax. It really does depend on my life at the moment (events, work, etc)
