Fascinating interview. It amazes me how some people can just look at a big, empty space and "see" what could be in such detail, and materialize it.

It is only possible when you don’t have kids or boyfriends...... Since Condom and diapers are not reusable... And you definitely can’t purchase milk powder in a mason jar.
@Misguidedghostz5 жыл бұрын
Though condoms are a form of trash that even lauren said that she produces, there are options that are in a way less harmful. Check out the website sustain natural. And for diapers? Cloth diapers. Milk? Breastfeeding. There are alternatives. You just have to really look around

Synthetic materials "vegans" wear today are sh*t cheap materials derived from petroleum. There is a reason why "faux lather" is called "pleather". IT IS PLASTIC, and will break down at a significantly faster rate than the real deal, nor can it be repaired, so it causes even more trash that cannot naturally biodegrade. Not only are synthetic materials being dumped in the oceans, but they seep harmful chemicals into the soil, float in the air and we literally BREATHE THEM IN all the time. All that lint your see floating around in your room, yeah, it's polyester, acrylic, nylon, and your "non-cruelty" friend, PVC. If you want to positively impact the environment, your own HEALTH and save money, you should probably look into investing in the natural genuine material. But hey, whatever. Just continue to think that you're "saving the world" by supporting the production of mass produced clothing made out of ridiculously cheap synthetic material made by some one in a sweat shop somewhere. But as long as it's "ve-gan", right?

I love what she’s doing! It’s very revolutionary! But I need to point this out that you cannot be an environmentalist if you eat or use animal products! It’s just hypocritical! Yes, reducing our waste is crucial these days because of the environmental impact of the trash dumped into the oceans and landfills. But you need to remember that the number one cause of carbon being released into the atmosphere is from animal factory farms, which contributes to deforestation. It’s kind of ironic to label your products as vegan and promote using animals skin because it’s biodegradable. I’m sorry Lauren but you’re contradicting yourself! ❤️

That's second hand clothing, she didn't support the business behind it with money, so what's the problem?
@youareapineapple34376 жыл бұрын
Weird Puck she still promoting it in this video, which in turns influence others who are looking for sustainability, which starts as a little snow ball that becomes an avalanche because others would see the trend and would in turn buy new clothes from animals skin therefore contributing to the business, given it is biodegradable.

I'm also a second hand clothing fanatic for ethical and environmental reasons (much of the clothing available in department stores in made from factories with records of literal slave and child labor; there has been progress on this issue but it is incredibly hard to verify where all materials come from, especially when dealing with corrupt governments that supply inexpensive labor). I wanted to share some second hand clothing tips: #1 Make a list of items you might want in the next few years and sporadically browse for them in second hand shops. If you are patient, you will eventually find high quality boots, blazers and outdoor gear, but probably not when you urgently need them next week. #2 Bring your oversized 2nd hand purchases to an awesome taylor (I have even done this with t-shirts and leggings which are compliment magnets) #3 To save money, start at less stylish places first (Goodwill, Community Thrift in San Francisco and other California cities), and if you don't find what you want, then move to the more curated, fashionable stores. #4 When DONATING to thrift shops, leave your stained and torn clothes out and instead put those in textile recycling boxes (for San Francisco locations sfenvironment.org/textiles) #5 Talk to the employees at thrift stores about their cycles of donating and disposing of clothing. By knowing when they put out new stuff and get rid of old stuff you can maximize your chances of getting clothes to fit your style and budget. Sometimes they will take requests such as calling you if any coats of certain brands arrive. #6 Wear proper thrift store apparel ;) Bring nylons for trying on shoes (although I assure you people with foot fungi are not checked when trying on shoes in department stores either), and if you are going somewhere that doesn't have dressing rooms, wear biker shorts or a tank top you don't mind stripping down to. I'd love to see what other tips you'll have!

I think i subconsciously try this! Except i havent kept myself loyal to it! Its so cool to know that its not just you thats thought about this. I think im gonna encourage myself to see if i can follow this lifestyle as much as possible in coordination with my own lifestyle and the people around me
