When this concerto first appeared, most professional violinists thought it was impossibly hard to play, now many music students chose it in their graguation performance. Such progression in techniques is amazing.

Respected performance! As a clarinet amateur before, Rossini is definitely one of the tough pieces among the clarinet's repertoire. It's absolutely lucky to play with the real orchestra. And I really appreciate NTU to keep creating chance and stage for more young students who truly love music in Taiwan.
I love Beauty and the Beast!! I know Alan Menken composed the music and songs for this but who was this arranged by?

Very good performance, considering this is a university orchestra. Only one thing, please don't add more wind instruments than the composer wrote. Beethoven wrote 2-2-2-2 ww and 2-2-0 brass; you perform with 4-3-4-3 ww and 5-3-0 brass. These extra wind players results in timbre and melodic imbalance, and the interplay between wind and strings so characteristic of this period (also Haydn) is lost at points. Some older recordings double the winds, but then they had very large string sections. This was common some decades ago, but today the smaller sound is preferred. This is a management issue. There are ways to give every performer a chance to appear on stage without adding these extras. I work on opera and orchestra season planning and management in Europe today, but worked in Japan some years ago. If there's a job opening in Taiwan i'll make sure to apply. Keep up the good work :)
