He's just ripping it behind the melody in parts, especially on third verse. (2:17 and slide guitar at 3:10) Brian May is under-rated. Without a doubt in the top 20 Greatest of All Time. And that puts him in some pretty good company.

Guitar tone is incredible. His bends at the end are just as expressively great as any by Clapton, Gilmour, Kossoff, or Page. Just a screaming crescendo.
