Quite funny to think about it most of the timeline of Cyberpunk is somewhat similar to how it is in real life. There were Pandemic situations as well as political ones that shifted the world but little do they know stirring underneath all their technological advances, that one living in the cyberpunk world wouldn't even come to question is an unknown realm filled with rogue AI's that only God knows what they can do. The only thing keeping them alive is a temporary fix of a wall that will soon break. That in itself is infinitely worse than their Bird flu situation lmao given how dependent they are with tech.

Well, the thing about the nuke at least. Data and written history can be innacurate. In situations like this it might be unclear if you're dealing with a writers inaccuracy, or in world tampering by characters. Maybe militech didnt want to admit the bombs real strength, maybe it wasn't a straight up fission device and had more of a radiation burst than a regular weapon, maybe blackhand or silverhand or someone switched some codes and took a bigger bomb than they realized at first or swiped a bigger one on purpose. And casualty figures could have been over reported. But when you have one value that doesnt fit (a weak micro bomb) vs all the conflicting data, radiation, large scale damage, length of time to reconstruct etc. then it looks like the weapons reported strength is what's wrong. It does feel like theirs a lil disconnect between the old school version of the tower raid and what we seen in silverhands memories and how it's sold in the game though. And parts feel to me like silverhand was being porttayed as a spoiled fussy artist kid too. Example, I can't see him apologizing to someone from arasaka because their mate died, even if him losing Alt was still hurting him. They are the ones that took Alt from him, after all. Started replaying it again recently as another lifepath. Doesn't seem to be as bad as I recall so far, but I wonder if it's a difference in the lifepath or did something get changed like how they tried to make han kiling greedo different?? I dunno. And all this "silverhand was a terrorist!" Please, can we drop all the modern lingo and politics? The flip flopping between how much of it was a militech op and how much of it was silverhand trying to rescue Alt or get revenge just feels like either rewriting or a writer taking over from someone else or someone couldnt make up their mind.Not gonna say Militech might not have pushed it in that direction to cut down on backlash from the public or arasaka afterward though. But the word feels overused these days.

I have no idea how I've never even heard of this game until today, but the more I learn about it, the more I want to play it!

The main gang in the Philippines being called the "I Don't Care Club" is strange. After this book was made, there was a woman who was killed by a dirty cop after singing "I don't care " to taunt him during a power trip. If they ever do an update, I hope that becomes the event that forms the gang.

I might have understood it incorrectly but by that time rogue has already gotten herself a seat in after life after working for a while with arasaka.
