Damn this is such a good game. It's not the most technically impressive, but the map design is amazing. It's such a shame they kept pushing Duke Nukem Forever back to make it more technically impressive even though Duke3D's selling point was never technical. It probably has the best feeling shotgun and the best rocket launcher in any game.

on phantom express, how are you able to run along the grass without taking damage on each jump? i see you saving the game, so i assume it's something to do with that?

It is possible to avoid damage if you buffer your jump (holding down space while still in air to make a frame perfect jump as soon as you land) and land on it from a good height. It is only doable in the original DOS version or nBlood.

Its just a preference. Episode order is up to the runner, usually we start with the harder ones.

man, it's wild to watch you FLYING through these maps where I spent hours of my childhood :D it looks like the entirely of the prison level in EP1 was skipped as well, I guess it's something to do with managing to get to the end level button that you're not supposed to reach?

Normally you would be captured and after a few seconds you go to the next level automatically. What I did is I pressed the end level button while the automatic level change triggered. In Megaton Edition, game pause not works well in some menus, everything is freezed but the game actually plays so the buttonpress animation and the capture timer lines up and skips level twice.
