That’s awesome! I love the Blue Angels. My father lives in Pensacola right on the beach. We watch the air show from his balcony when we go down there.

Looks like so many places today... it used to be a beautiful place but they screwed it up with over development. Dollar Generals, Walmarts, Applebee's, parking lots, etc.

The local college here sits on over 28K+ acres and is the Guinness book of world records for being the largest college campus in the world and there are hundreds if not thousands of deer all over the place and they'll walk up to you sometimes wanting to be fed. They don't have to worry about hunters because the land is federally protected. It's something to see.

I love hearing other people's eclipse travel stories. My experience was similar. I rented a cargo van and made my way to totality but didn't know where I was going until the day before the eclipse. I wanted to make sure I was in the least cloudy area with winds that were not too strong. I ended up in Fairfield, IL. Got in the air 20 minutes before totality and saw it from a mile up. Incredible!
