Many beautifully delivered points…. amen!!!!! Amina!!!!! Thank you for this: no one can force, lecture, coerce another to submit… then it becomes abuse! Not just in marriages either but in all relationships! Thank you Pastor! Isn’t the Hebrew “ezer kenegdo” so beautiful!!! However there may be times that one cannot be both a strong “EZER” and “unconditionally submit”! If submitting to a spouse (in Ephesians it s clearly to be mutual in the Greek texts) puts one in conflict with a submission to Christ… it is right choose Christ! Is there realistically any human covenant, love, respect or submission that is unconditional… !? Don’t God s covenants have conditions written in also?

There is mutual submission highlighted in verse 21. That doesn't change the fact that women have been asked to submit. Submission is not easy and as humans and the presence of sin it becomes so hard. However, God doesn't give us unattainable requests and he promises to help us. Slowly we are being sanctified to be like Christ.
