I came across your video and saw that you pulled yours apart the same way I did my first one. I also discovered that there is an epoxy or something similar holding the back on and provides a seal. If you take the crystal off and heat the back around where it attaches to the case it will pry off relatively easy but only while it's hot. I used a butane torch and a lot of patience Otherwise the seal hardens back. What I have not found is a way to do this that leaves no trace of repair. Good video ! I like it !

Does anyone know how to fix the pendulum ,it has stopped swinging ,it is very similar to this clock 😊

The mechanism is likely dirty. Here is a video that is probably a bit more than what you would want to get into: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epmUeIyQip2Ya5I Also, not just any oil will do. That will take a bit of research. Also, be sure the jewels the spike sits into are still present and in good shape.

I have the exact same problem: can’t find a suitable replacement suspension spring for our BB&B mantel clock.

How do you regulate the time

Thanks!!. I will try to make, but not sure what is it the wite part...plastic?

Oh, the leather hammer insert had deteriorated after a 100 years, so I stuck an adhesive "non-scratch pad" on the hammer:) The spring is just the colors of the can. Technically the can label is a plastic coating and could be removed. I left it on and it is still going. I had to make this one since this mechanism is a one off. It is huge. I couldn't come close to finding the right spring. So, beer can lol

@@hiramkuykendall Thanks!. I just made a suspension with the aluminum of the beer can, the supports are the original ones, to which I have glued the aluminum of the can, it looks good and I think it will work. Thank you very much for your great idea.

I did that to my Howard Miller once... Lol it was pretty hard to get the crutch back on without completely opening the movement

Thank you for this video, I'm going to try this. My dumbass tried to take the pendulum off my clock and I forgot the spring was still there, and it completely broke it. The clock barely runs with the one I tried to make out of plastic :|

LOL. Been there. It will be easier if you have a pattern that has the length and width of the original spring. In this case I had nothing and it is a massive, one off clock. No standard parts. I have done a couple of these and I recommend that you pull the mechanism and do all the adjustments before installing. So far the home made spring is still working:) Two years and counting.

@@hiramkuykendall It sure worked! It gets a little behind but that's only because it needs some pendulum adjustments :) thank you

Yep. 👍 my M 40 pre dynabeat /hi beat has that feature also. When you pull the crown out it parks the balance under tension allowing the re-start. When released, it resumes normal operation. I like the feature because it allows me to park the movement when I'm not wearing the watch. Saves it from wear and tear plus reduces the service interval.

Not to mention these old watches really eat up the battery :) lol

Correction. This "Junghans" mechanism is a fake/Reproduction, & most likely Make In CHINA yesterday. Although, the DIANA statue appears to be genuine. Authentic Junghans mystery clock mechanisms are actually extremely complex, & it's very hard to find a Clocksmith these days who actually know how to service them, anymore.
