Sorry about late reply, NX1 is definitely still a great camera. Maybe horrible is too strong of a word. I think that slipped unscripted; I should have explained that it was horrible at processing high ISO data (I don't dare shoot past 800), and not necessarily its ability to capture imagery with it's 6k super-sharp backlit 28.3 megapixel sensor. I have a Nikon z6ii, and I can say that camera, though a tiny bit softer in imagery (full sensor vs APS-C ), has uncomparably better low light capabilities. It's dynamic range with it's 10-bit log is also leagues ahead of the Samsung NX1. If you are shooting corporate, indoor-lit scenes with little dynamic range, or fashion shoots with bright lights, the Samsung rocks, as it has a really nice softness when the highlights break as well. An up-and-coming Brazilian film director and I just shot an entire feature film in the Bolivian salt desert with that Nikon camera and an Atomos monitor. We tested the NX1 for fun, and it didn't have the dynamic range sufficient to shoot shadow scenes in a white reflective salt desert. With Polar Pro filters, Nikon did such a good job, I don't think people will believe the film was shot with that camera.
