What about someone who works an outside the home and isn't home all day? Can it still be done? I would like to give it a try... Also, I am a Single woman and can't eat a lot of bread, plus for health reasons... so, I'm wondering if it freezes well? Thank you!

Yess!! My sister and I were having this exact conversation! She work outside of the home. I’m currently making a loaf and will be gone all day running errands and such. (Gearing up for back to school) I’m kneading the dough right now, I’ll set it aside to rise while we do all our running. Then when we get back home I’ll shape it and put it in the loaf pan for its second rise. By dinner time I’ll be baking it! This weekend I’ll update the description box and blog with a schedule for being out of the house during the day. I’m also going to try and play with doing the bulk rise in the load pan so you can put it right in the oven. And yes! You can freeze this loaf. The first half will have better texture, but at least this way you’re not wasting any. In my experience it starts to mold in 6ish days.

I know this is from a few weeks ago but I just found your channel and really enjoy watching when I get the time for myself. I’m a house wife and a mom to 3 little children. I’m beginning to get more spiritual as well. Sometimes I rush through my house chores since sometimes I can’t get it all done since I have younger children that need me. I get kinda upset when I can’t finish something but this video makes me want to do better. Live more in the moment of what I’m doing…

Love this video! You have totally inspired me to give bread making a second chance. My starter is 4 yrs. old and I have made a few things I feel pretty confident in making BUT bread ahs not been one of them. Your recipe looks totally "doable" and your encouragement is a confidence booster! Thank you Allya for always being so genuine!

I need to stop being afraid of sour dough! I follow Lisa, but for some reason it always sounds so intimidating. You make it sound a little easier and one loaf is more my speed. I will let you know when I finally give it a try! Wonderful video. Have a great week.

Thank you so very much for a beautiful, thought provoking and inspiring video! When you spoke of when you make breakfast for your family, you are in fact making it for Jesus, I thought about when I decided to devote my work day to the Lord. When I told myself ' i am working for the Lord', not necessarily for my boss". I too felt so much HOY!

I really appreciate your videos but this one especially. I have, as many people do, a very stressful job. I have wanted to enjoy my housework but end up rushing through it because my job leaves me little time to get it done. That said, your video made me realize I can slow down or at least choose to enjoy my time I have when doing my housework. Thank you for the reminder that I can choose to look things in a more positive way! Your videos are a blessing 😊

@susanbon5014 We are in the same boat! I feel exactly the same way. Isn't it wonderful to be reminded in these busy, stressful years. I know it won't last forever, but I truly want to enjoy every season of life. It all goes by so quickly. I can't wait until I retire to enjoy a "slow- life", because in this life we have no retirement guarantee.

Aliya, Thank you so much for the reminder this morning of doing all as "unto the Lord". If I'm honest, I get so busy and focused with the tasks that need to be accomplished, that I forget that most important thing! Serve him in all I do and just slow down! Other than KZbin, I have no social media influence for the very reason you mentioned. I am always blessed and encouraged with your vlog and I truly appreciate your sweet heart and mission to be an encouragement. Lord bless you, and I thank you. Reply

Making breakfast for Jesus! This is a truth many will never get...how blessed you are. "depart from me, i never knew you," is for those that will never understand nor comprehend the truth of doing ALL things as unto the Lord. Thank you soooo much for your willingness to share, so that people like me can be reminded of such a life changing truth! ❤

What a lovely way to start my day. I don’t remember Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings as a poet, I remember her for The Yearling. I think today more than ever the work of a housewife and mother is valued and we can all benefit from intentional living and slowing down. Enjoyed the video.

Thank you so much! I like to plant herbs that deter mosquitoes/bugs. So citronella is my main plant for sitting spaces. When we go out to sit I usually ruffle up/rub the leaves to try to make the smell even stronger. I feel like it’s super helpful too. After that I just pick herbs we eat a lot of. Rosemary, oregano, and basil. Then pretty flowers. Thanks so much for watching! Have a great weekend! 🤍🌱🪿

The curtains turned out fine. Cute fabric that’s very cottage looking. Did you know you can easily tear cotton fabric? Cut a small starter cut, say 1 inch long, grab both sides and pull evenly, It will give you a perfect line because the tear will naturally follow the fabric grain. Some fabric stores only tear because then they don’t get off grain/crooked cuts happening.

No! I’ve been turning muslin fabric into ribbons for a couple of years. But I’ve never tried it with cotton. Ohhh!!! Now I feel like I need to make new curtains for the new house and try this method!! I love the way the ribbon looks torn, so I think I’ll love the curtains that way too. I’m so excited to give it a try!! Thanks for watching! Means more than you realize! Have a great weekend! 🤍🌱🪿

Please don't hide an appliance with a curtain- better to use the base cabinet of the sink without its doors to use as a curtained area. Its more traditional as well.

This has been the exact thought going on in my head!! Haha I thought I’ll do the DIY so that if the dishwasher situation doesn’t work, I can slide it over to the cabinets below the sink. You’re right! It’s such a beautiful look!! You girls that can create a beautiful space so inexpensively blows my mind. Did I hear you did your kitchen for $5. I cant buy a coffee for $3. I do realize up North not sure your area has better second hand options. I live in a very college football crazed area and the aesthetic I like is not readily available. We have 1 antique store that I believe people use as a storage unit. A few consignment shops only 1 focues on home decore. 3 thrift stores and they can be scary to visit. We have a few donation/Christian places but they dont have amazing stuft very often. Ive spent a small fortune ordering things. So yall are very lucky to have affordable options. I think its this town........we moved 30 min away so we can live our country life. No shops really but they did start a farmers market recently, Anyways love your style.

That’s hard for sure. I have three thrift stores that are usually decent. But garage sales are my favorite for good deals. It’s so spotty whether you’ll find something, but the hunt is fun haha!
