My first Elder Scrolls game was Skyrim. After I beat it, I tried Morrowind and didn’t like it, and then I tried Oblivion, and let's just say I've never been able to go back to Skyrim after playing that! I did eventually go back to Morrowind and realized how fun it was once you got good at it, and same with Daggerfall. Oblivion is definitely my favorite.

Every time I go back to an Elder Scrolls title I am reminded of why I love video games. There is just something about the sense of exploration and adventure you get from them.

Ive never played skyrim, but I just started a playthrough in vr. Its a pretty bad port in vr standards, so I installed some mods to make it a pretty good vr game on top of the beautiful base game Ive heard it is. The idea of being physically exhausted after a huge epic battle then going to a tavern to actually rest is so cool. I feel like Im uncovering something that will last with me as rdr2 did

We have to remember the shear amount of lore to this is staggering. It might be possible that these people were so worried because of some kind of encounter in the past with elfs. At this point for me its very hard to know as i am not very versed in lord of the rings lore but i would have to know this first before making an assumption on how these people would react. An example could be anything where a people were attacked by an enemy so badly or taken over they might just react this way especially to someone as powerful as galadriel. In the end like i said the lore spans hundreds of thousands of years and goes way way way beyond the lord of the rings especially before sauron.

I listen to Skyrim ambience music whenever I study. The music alone is incredible.

I'm waiting forever for a Skyrim-like RPG, WITH COOP, and with infinite replayability; every run being totally different from the others. For example, applying Kenshi's triggers for settlements being overrun/captured by certain entities depending what happened to their leaders, etc.

Still have skyrim to this day but just need to rebuy a PS3.

Play without looking at the map or fast traveling and it makes it a fun experience.

It actually does get better than skyrim. Significantly better. Unbelievably better. Skyrim VR modded will blow your mind no matter how many playthroughs you've done.

2K is not even a game in my perspective

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are much better than Skyrim. They're larger and have better mechanics, puzzles and graphics. Skyrim was great for its time, nut it had been out done multiple times now.

I always used mods that are lore-friendly. Loved to keep the game as lore accurate as possible.

Im 29 and been playing since it dropped. I love Norse/Germanic mythology and Lord of the Rings so this game was perfect for me. The atmosphere, the story and the characters just make it so hard for me to step away forever. I played Oblivion and Morrowind too when i was younger but to me Skyrim is the perfect world. I sometimes pack my bong and catch myself sitting on my horse looking at fhe beautiful skyrim scenery while that beautiful skyrim music plays for minutes on end. My girlfriend loves sitting next to me while i play on PC. I just ramble about the lore. She doesn't quite understand the game but she loves how passionate i am about it.

I had the same thing until I played LOZ breath of the wild and tears of kingdom. Skyrim and those two are now my absolute favourites

This game takes me back to Afghanistan 2013 when I lost about 2 weeks of my life being sucked in by the game and barely eating. I loved this game so much and haven't really played it since.

I sometimes find myself wondering how many family are doing on Skyrim even when i've not played for a while. The game is just something else.

“Op mage” bro that doesn’t exist in this game. With the removal of spell crafting, you can’t make op mage builds without using “intended features”. Even with those features mages aren’t very powerful.

Daggerfall morrowwind and oblivion are far far better lol skyrim is trash still broken to this day.

I’ve come back to this game at least 10 times since it came out. Even as recently as mid-2023.

I think when I beat a Draugr DeathLord to death with just my iron shield that has an enchantment fortify block of 875236%, I knew true happiness.

I fully believe that this is why Bethesda is taking so long with Elder Scrolls 6. How do they follow up after this? What is being created to top Skyrim? I mean this one, for all it's bugs and simplification of older titles, just offers so much and keeps you hooked. That's without mods. The music alone pulls you back in.

If this movie were released about 15 months earlier than it was, it probably would've netted a much larger audience from the pandemic. When it did release, everyone was so tired of lockup and talking about quarantine that anything involving apocalypse was picked up and chucked from view. This is still happening with a few other games, movies, etc. like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The human apocalypse survival struggle genre was huge for 20 years but now that we've gone through another event that could've turned apocalyptic, nobody wants to see or hear about it anymore.
