We truly do live in the worst county for outdoor enthusiasts 😂

Hi Geoffrey it’s a good ride best ridden in dry conditions. The route can be found in a guide book l use called ‘north york moors mountain biking’ by Tony Harker published by Vertebrate publishing, its ride no. 11 in the book Rosedale abbey circuit. (ISBN9781906148089). I hope that helpful, thanks Mark

I'm sure the one from the top of Thetford is a footpath. I know this as the landowner chased me down and told me I couldn't ride it. I have rode it on a permissive ride day though. A fast descent

TOO LATE NOW, BUT IF YOU DIDN'T, THEN STOP BEING A PUSSY, AND JUST DO IT FOR FUCKS SAKE!!! I love you, and God loves you!!!🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️❤️ Just because you feel like you wanna do something, That doesn't mean that it's Ok or acceptable to DO it. Your sinful urges are not what get you to hell. And you ARE not your SINFUL URGES, They are the devils misguidence, and IT'S NOT YOUR IDENTITY!!!🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️❤️ Your actions ARE WHAT GET YOU TO HELL, NOT YOUR URGES, THOUGHTS, AND FEELINGS, WHICH OFTEN ARE MADE TO SEEM OK BY THE DEVIL MISGUIDING U!!!, and if you keep living this way, and don't turn to Christ, and don't try, and do your best to stay away from said sins, then You're headed streight for hell, and it's the same for EVERY SIN!!! But if you turn to CHRIST, Ask him for forgiveness, and ask him to help you to give you strength to NOT SIN, and to RESIST TEMPATATION, and you try YOUR BEST to stay away from sin, and ask JESUS for forgiveness when you fall, and ask him for strength every time you fall, and you try your best to not sin again every time u fall, and ask God to fill you with the holy spirit, and to let the holy spirit guide you each, and every time u fall, then JESUS will help you, and will forgive you of your sins, and you'll be clensed by the blood of CHRIST, and you'll go to heaven, and the slate will be wiped clean, and all your sins will be forgotten!!!🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️❤️ But remember to not use Jesus as an excuse to sin or as a get out of jail-free card so you can sin freely, and if you have done that or end up doing it, then do what i said above. TURN TO CHRIST, OUR ONE, AND ONLY LORD, SAVIOUR, AND GOD, AND TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS!!!✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ IN JESUS CHRISTS HOLY NAME I PRAY THAT YOU TURN TO CHRIST, AMEN!!!✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

I live in Lincolnshire and have wanted to cycle round the Wolds for some time, but as I would have to travel to location, I am unsure where a good starting place would be!

Do you have a gpx for the ride please?

Sorry I don't have that info. The route passes through Horsington wood, Stixwould wood, Halstead wood, Ostlers plantation, and finishes between Highhall wood & Whitehall wood.

The Wolds looked absolutely beautiful in the snow. This is our 2nd winter with MTB’s and still trying to learn routes around there. Do you use public footpaths as well as Bridleways or just Bridleways please?
@mtbmark.3 жыл бұрын
Bridleways linked by quiet roads. OS explorer maps are good tools for finding your way around 273 (wolds south) & 282 (wolds north) are the two maps I use.

how much is it and for how long . . . were going soon
@mtbmark.4 жыл бұрын
The duration is around 25-30 mins, and it costs about £18-20 per person if my memory serves me right. If you have a large party it is possible to charter the whole boat at a reduced rate which is what we did.

Hi Mark, great video, being a roadie I usually don't watch MTB videos, but hey it's the Lincolnshire Wolds and with me being from Lincs and it's a someone enjoying themselves on two wheels it's always good to see. Do you have a strava link to the route or anything? I did recognise some of the roads, but clearly not the trails - those I usually look at from afar lol

Hi Richard, thanks for the comment I will try to get a strava link of this route from one of my mates and post it, I didn't have strava at the time.

hi. I love your route and want to try riding it. could you give any info on where you went do you have a map of it.
@mtbmark.5 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, The route is on single track, bridle paths, byways and roads. If you look on OS explorer 282 ( lincolnshire wolds north ) the route is basically as follows; From Willingham woods car park near the small cafe head north through the woods until you come to 'rasen rd' turn left and pick up the byway on your right that passes through 'Walesby moor' then 'Middle rasen plantation'. At the road turn left into 'Gipsy lane' continue until 'Caistor road' turn right here. Then take the next right onto 'Park rd' continue for just over 1 mile over a level crossing, where the road bends sharply left, take the byway on your right that climbs up past 'Claxby woods'. Continue on this byway until it meets the 'Viking way' bridlepath and turn left, continue climbing. Through a field that sometimes has livestock in it to 'Normanby le wold'. Head north on the road out of 'Normanby le wold and pick up the 'Viking way' again on the road. Continue on the road to just past 'Acre house' then turn right onto a bridlepath to 'Mount pleasant'. At the junction with 'Caistor high street' turn left and continue down the road 200 metres turn right onto a bridle path to 'Rothwell top farm'. At the farm buildings turn left down the hill on the bridlepath with a post and rail fence on one side and continue for 1.5 miles to 'Rothwell' here at the road then turn right and continue for 1.5 miles along the road then take a bridlepath on the right at 'Simons pond'. Continue along the bridlepath for half a mile, cross over the 1st road back onto the bridlepath. Continue along the bridlepath to the 2nd road and go more or less straight over (slight dog leg left) on to another bridle path to 'Stainton le vale' here turn right onto a road continue round to the right to 'Stainton hall' through a farm yard with a nice green to pick up another bridlepath on the left just after the barn and houses and before the pond. Take this bridlepath up to 'Goody orchin plantation' then turn right onto 'Caistor high st', then first left ' Walesby hill' down the road through Walesby and back to 'Walesby moor' and retrace the tracks back to the car park. Hope thats helpful Mark
