@@Monsieur.Nobody. sry for the late reply, have not really been active recently. I kinda quit for this season, barely played and although i love the game i just never feel like launching it. Might get back into it next season but for now it just feels more like a chore.

Thanks for watching ! This one was more of an experiment as I have not been playing much since season 1 because of traveling, so the quality was down a bit from my other montages, will def keep it shorter in the future, thanks for the advice

@@Kalefromai true, but it changed quite a bit since this montage as backtabs are now more difficult to execute, although I really enjoy the new dagger. Check out my latest montage for the updated version:)

no worries, happens to me too. its an odds game, if you try it enought at some point it will work out. most important part of the playstyle is that you do not need to commit to a duel. if you go in miss your backstab you can always just run away and reset to try again. also setup gateway somewhere on a hightground and if you are caught of in a sticky situation without any dashes left, just throw it on the ground and tp out. thats your joker

I did delete it and repost but the original was only up for around 10min and there was a problem with the sound so I retouched it and reuploaded with a better thumbnail. Also what part did you enjoy the most and what part the least ? Is there anything you think I schould keep doing in my next montages ? I am always open to constructive criticism!

I had taken a break since my last upload because of work and uni, but I did try playing it on my laptop after the dagger changes. I have to say that the changes are really really good. Dash stabs got much more difficult because now the timing and position you have to be in to get one is much tighter but in exchange you can do much better movement because they removed the aim assist and it feels so much smoother. And the fact that the backstab animation does not slow you down enables you to do trickstabs without dash and thats a great change. The dagger changes made the skillfloor higher but completely destroyed the previous skill ceiling. So in the end I am very satisfied. I will get back into making videos once I have more time to invest into the game

​@@capten272 ok makes sense to focus on that. im looking forward to some new videos from you. And yes I agree with your points. I think dagger needed these changes. it's still not overpowered and still a high risk high reward weapon. and very satisfying :)

I mean I would try if it they didn’t completely remove this mechanic in the patch yesterday. They had to kill the worst weapon in the game

Rtx 3060, ryzen 5 5600x or something like that can’t remember. Not great, running the game at 90fps avrg

@@yaboyparallsl yeah its fine but a little outdated, what’s important is getting a good cpu because that’s what the finals needs. 90 fps is playable but not very enjoyable thats why i say my setups is not great

Day three of practicing dagger: Got red skin. Check. I know saving the stun is great for light 1v1s, but I found that when people turn to face you while stunned it sets up a good dash-stab practice. The rest of it comes down to my terrible positioning and rotations. Still having a blast.

ja, bin aber auch Muttersprachler in französisch, deswegen hoert man ein bischen von beidem in mein englisch xD

if you know the matador stab from team fortress 2 its bassically the same but performed with a dash, after climbing up I pressed d to go to the right side of the heavy and bate him to turn his camera to the right and then I go to the backstab while dashing to the left, I bassically bated him to get to his back. check out my newest video at 2:10 you will see me perform the exact same stab but its a bit more visual

Console can do that, but the odds of getting into a game with one of the few good dagger players are so low you will probably never see one in the wild 😂

Thanks, I appreciate it ! Quick tip if you ever encounter a dagger player: glue your back to a wall when you see us and there is nothing we can do 😂

I would love to see someone pulling of cloak dagger in ranked although I do not believe its possible. But if someone does I need to know his secrets !

@@capten272 if you have a good team then you can win all the time I only play with Cloak and Dagger on ranked lol

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do, i had hoped they would fix it in season 2 but dagger has received no changes( at least from what I know, I have not played season 2 yet). The aim assist was also the main reason I had not played the dagger anymore the last weeks of season 1 as the better you get the more noticeable and frustrating it becomes.

What also causes problems is the step forward you take when locking onto a target so keep that in mind when going for backstabs
