@@mypocketpreceptor It was a nursing home. I had way too many patients. I was very slow at med passes and got confused about what was given, because everyone kept talking to me. I thought that i made a mistake becoming a nurse, but it turned out that I was not working in the right setting for me.

Definitely agree. Delegation utilizing the five rights of delegation. It’s one of the most challenging areas that a lot of nurses have especially in the leadership role.

I speak healing over my life, that the Lord Yeshua, put His hand on my heart to erase all grief and rage and misery and sorrow. And that joy becomes my inheritance, my constant. That love, kindness, gentle peace, mercy, grace, will overflow in my life! New season of total and complete and permanent bliss. In Yeshua’s name. So be it. So it is.

Teachers were up my ass for documentation. I graduated in 1992.
@mypocketpreceptor8 ай бұрын
Yes! Exactly. The ramifications from using that phrase outweighs the benefits of you documenting that
@bilquisali8 ай бұрын
I was explaining this to a new nurse yesterday bc she documented will continue to monitor and informed her of the legal ramifications that can come about in the event a change has occurred that you in fact did not monitor
@mypocketpreceptor8 күн бұрын
This is so true and unfortunately a lot of new nurses do not know how to document well because it was not taught in nursing school, yet is is scary as a nurse to document “will continue to monitor “

That’s a great question. It may vary from policy to policy per the institution but in my mind when a call bell goes off a timely manner would be to answer the call light within one minute, if I’m not in another room or doing another nursing task. Timely for pain med administration may be within 10-15 minutes. Timely for getting in touch with a provider for an a cute change in a patient may be 1-5 minutes. That’s how I would consider reasonable time frames
@sandieserrano24258 ай бұрын
What do they consider a timely manner? Im a retired unit secretary and when a nurse is in a code..thats main priority
