This is something I really regret not doing whilst in NSW… surely it’ll be gone by the time I eventually go back

Literally 20× more efficient than most of the Schindler Ms we get in NZ. Just begs the question as to why we got the short end of the stick when we’re barely a hop, skip, & jump away from Australia…

Made it to #3 on TheDragonFire123’s BOTE 2 list. That’s how special it is. Wonder if it is even possible to find one still original in NZ… 🤔 (Auckland’s your best bet)

These are such cool little things! Thank you for their continued preservation *:)* _(Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if some of the fixtures from Wellington Hospital’s __#BlueLifts__ would end up here at some point 😂)_

Had to seek the opportunity they definitely run better than the Blue Lifts did so they will likely be around during the conversion and get replaced somewhere along the way

Currently receiving an upgrade by Schindler. It was you who saw it first before I found out much later lol *:P* Wonder if they’ll just modernise or completely replace it. Cab original doesn’t sound as outlandish as one might think, simply because it doesn’t look like you could easily fit a standard 3000/5500/5000 cab into the space… but we’ll see. What I was most surprised about, though, was the fact that they will be using *the original doors* that have completely moulded! This is evident by the fact that they have put a triangle key on the doors. I do hope they give them a good polish before coming into service - the doors in their current state are ridiculously filthy! 😭

That isn’t hydraulic. It has a fiam processor with TER thyrister speed control

Do you happen to know anything about the J&E Hall side of the lift, When i filmed this lift i thought i could hear a hydraulic pump but i was clearly very wrong.
@liftguy303 ай бұрын
@@WaygoodOtis it was originally A JE Hall lift, was modded to FIAM in the early 80’s the machine has JE Hall on it as does the sill, the governor is AP Steven’s as is the safety gear (wind in), it might have been DC as most lifts ran off the tram lines until modded. There was an old DC lift at the design works building (now pulled out), it survived years longer than the rest as they had installed a massive rectifier to power their printing press until the 80’s. The noise that makes them sound so loud is the DC injection going into the slow speed winding to control the speed, this is louder than most hydros.
