If they wanted Katy to be walkable they'd have put in sidewalks. Especially BEFORE they expect the kids to walk 2 miles to school.

buying a house and paying $1000 just for HOA and tax is not a wise investment to make in Houston. Then you will have grass cutting, yearly maintenance and on top of that higher water and sewer charges takes the cost to $1500 PM without even including the mortgagee. Renting a luxury apartment for $2000 is wise thing

@@Laness-zo5vk most schools are A rated here in Katy the school system here is #1 in the state but i can definitely give you a run down on choices and your options here, just so we can see what your preference is. You definitely cant go wrong with either but the woodlands was just awarded most desirable cities to live in so i may give them the slight edge. But its all about preference

My husband and I have visted and extremely excited about moving to Sunterra. We will be relocating from Austin. We're looking at officially starting the progress this Fall. Sunterra North is also a part of the Sunterra community but is zoned to Royal ISD which isnt as good as Katy. Not sure if you covered that.

Which do u think is better cypress or katy I can’t decide! Cypress seems lonely to me with nice houses, I don’t wanna feel isolated! I’m from NY but I currently live in Atlanta. I’m looking for a new start since becoming a mom but I don’t wanna have a big house but no community if that makes sense

Excellent presentation and advice. I was born in Houston. I have lived most of my life here. I'm 65 years old. In my lifetime, every area within the greater Houston and Galveston metropolitan area has flooded. All of them. They don't flood all the time, but if you live here more than 40 years, you will see the so called "500" year flood for that area. It's hot, humid and flat. There are lots of mosquitos. The greater Houston area is multi-cultural. Public transportation barely exists and is also a political football inside the city limits of Houston. If you live near a bayou, you might occasionally see an alligator. Katy, the Woodlands and Sugar Land have a much lower crime rate than Houston. People can achieve a much better quality of life while keeping costs under control here. There is no zoning in the City of Houston. There are deed restrictions in Houston. There are Homeowner's Association in the areas that have been built since the 70's. Some of them like to throw their weight around. There is no State or local income tax here. in conclusion it is very simple to live in all the big cities of Texas. Before moving to the area, I highly recommend that you go back and view all of this channel's videos.
