3:17 I made a comment here years ago but seems to have disappeared somehow. interesting. You are absolutely wrong here about the 40 round mags. YOU simply reached pressure equilibrium between your gas can and mag before enough gas could flow in, or just didnt fill long enough. You need these mags to be colder than your gas to draw in the proper amount. This is the downside to having fill valves with orings, unlike TM valves. Myself and about a dozen other people that I have built these guns for use long mags with zero issue, locks back on empty every time. So its unequivocally wrong to argue that these 40 round mags are bad. You just engaged in user error. We have proven these mags are great over a sample size of like 25-30 of these mags between us all. On my last comment you got super defensive and told me basically that im an idiot. Yea OK bro have fun with that one. Writing this so people dont get fooled out of owning great mags for these. Maybe my comment will just disappear again. Who knows.

Some tips to improve your design.. the small screws need to be longer. There should also be two screws at the front of shaft to hold in the usbc 3D printer holder. The tiny screws also don’t screw back in properly. I had to loosen everything to connect my QR2 and then put it back together attached to the usbc.
@shahindersingh3925
@shahindersingh3925 15 күн бұрын
Or build into the two holes some lines for the screws to attach instead of relying on the 3D to catch the screws. 😊

It will work with any usb c base. So should be fine with qr1 or 2 as long as it is a usb c plug. If you don’t see red and black wires when you pull out your factory shaft then you are good to go.

Where can I order the old one? This one (like in the vid) just arrived & its wobbling like crazy if extended... Original one was perfect. Edit: Nvm, I was too scared to break it & did not tighten it enough. But still, the first one was better, I would buy again.

I know this might make me sound a bit lazy, but that’s just too much effort every time you want to switch between racing and using the PC for other tasks. It’s really cool, and I like it a lot, but for me, having a dedicated sim cockpit with its own PC is the only way to go.
@BrainExploder

I agree that is why I am moving to a custom home made rig, probably the next video in a few months. It only takes about 60 second realistically as I hardly ever use the roof or the extended dash sides but it is still a bit of a hassle.

Is there any chance you could share the project? I fell in love with the base where the pedals are. This simulator is amazing.
@BrainExploder
@BrainExploder 2 ай бұрын
This was my idea of sharing it, I am actually about to tear it down (already undid the shifter and e brake) as I am building a stand alone rig. Would gladly give up and of these parts if anyone local wants to pick them up as I will have no use for most of them. The base is simple made out of 2x8"s I do believe just an L shape with a raised little "table" the width of the pedals, below is some storage and a flip down arm that tucks under the desk and over the base. Back of it has fold out hinges that hook to the back of the table to keep it from sliding forward and the wall stops it from sliding back.
@MarechalMaster
@MarechalMaster 2 ай бұрын
@BrainExploder I'm from Brazil, otherwise I would make a point of looking for the base. Take the measurements, make a drawing, check which screws you used, which ones made the difference and put it in PDF

I wouldn't mind sharing but the design is specific to my monitor angles, which are super wide, 51 degrees I believe (well 90+51) so it would be kinda of useless plus the design is specific to these Dell 32" monitors.

Awesome rig and stowable mechanisms there! Do you not do anything to prevent the swivelling of your office chair? I can see that you have locked the chair's wheel movement down but from my experience the freedom to spin is still quite distracting. I personally clip some bungee cord onto mine to limit it somewhat.

Thats crazy and so nice to see you going deep into sim racing. I am playing Airsoft over 10 years now and got into simracing a couple years ago. Funny enough my Sim setup, is very similar to yours 😂. I have a All in One Desk Setup, that i just made a video of 😅 I'm just curious, how do those monitors "hover" so easy above the desk yet still everything is stable. I really like the idea of having multiple obligatory parts attached to the setup that just add to the immersion. Great Setup, gave me some ideas to expand mine 😎✌🏻 Greetings

Checked out your video and felt like watching my twin. Love how clean your wire work is. My monitors are all connected via a 2x6" pieces of wood and brackets I designed. The setup is solid which allows it to all move together. The center monitor is on a monitor arm much like yours but mounted to the wall while the side monitors sit on some ikea legs that I made an adjustable bracket for. The base of them sits on some furniture movers to make it easier to move and not destroy the desk completely although they are leaving some scratches.
