The character of the self-styled "prophet" 'Muhammad' was that of an illiterate but manipulative charlatan, hate-driven sadist, bandit, warlord, slaver, misogynist, serial rapist and sexual pervert who murdered, or had murdered, anyone who questioned his claim to prophethood and refused to pay him tribute.

I would never stoop so low as to take knowledge from the al maghrib institute. Look at this foolishness and nonsense. But then again, they mostly market their courses to the westernized indo-pak middle class muslim communities. They shun reverts and adults because the young people are easier to indoctrinate into their ikhwanee aqueedah.

Remember the time the Prophet pbuh did this?.... No? Me neither, because it never happened. He pbuh never did this nor did he ever tell us to do this. He pbuh did, however, tell us to stay away from newly innovated things (such as this).

using a mic is not bid'ah or haram. The idea of using a mic is just to get ur voice across. Bid'ah refers to innovations you bring in worship seeking reward for it. No one using a mic expects a reward for using the mic itself. Therefore the mic is just a means to an end. but Allah knows best

By the time I finished Surah Al-Baqarah I wanted to be a Muslim, and forced a Muslim to hear my shahadah. I was discouraged from shahadah until I fully understood Islam, but I said it anyway with only one witness. But I did attend Aqidah classes at the main masjid in that city and took a public shahada after completing Surah An-Nisa in the English translation, and having read all the verses in the Qur'an about Issa (Jesus), the son of Maryam, may peace be upon him, and the family of Imran.

I would like to add, while looking for the Truth, and reading many different scriptures to find a common denominator, a non-muslim friend loaned me and English translation of Qur'an (paperback, no Arabic), and I couldn't understand WHAT I was reading! It didn't touch me at all and I rejected it. A year later a friend gave me The Noble Qur'an, which included the Arabic, an English translation, and footnotes from the tafseer of Ibn Katheer. THEN! I couldn't put it down for more than a day!

Masha'Allah, you are telling the truth, Wallahi. I became Muslim only because I read the English translation of the Qur'an. Allah opened my heart with Qur'an and I was not disuaded by anyone to hesitate in my shahadah.
