Devo is one of those puppet characters where when he wins he looks unbelievably broken and also sick, and when he loses he looks like an unfinished bottom 1 character. Smash Ultimate Ice climbers are a great modern example. Sometimes Devo sandwiches you and hits a crazy TOD and sometimes the puppet is just sitting uselessly at the other end of the screen the whole game. Sometimes ice climbers hit a crazy de-sync TOD spike combo and sometimes they get separated and the secondary climber cpu jumps off the map.

@@jcplays5831this was golden age Capcom we're talking about, they knew what they were doing. Even if HFTF is considered a 'kusoge fighter', it's heads and shoulders more competently designed than other fighters of its era. In a fighting game with only -two- female characters, they locked the fuck in. That being said Devo is not even the best remote Stand user in the game, that would go to Avdol, and even then remote mode is avoided because it's incredibly gimmicky and comes with a huge defense penalty. Devo has no choice.
