And it had only been eleven years, since that horrible tragedy? And while your travels for that job, takes you to Egypt and you are presented with a 'trinket' from a recently discovered tomb from the head of state? You discover that the trinket has the power that allows you to go back in time. Wouldn't you go back to stop that tragedy from happening? To try to save all those people? To try to clear the name of Smith ?.... I think so. My Great Uncle was that man; David Smith, Captain for White Star and he made that trip in 1923. I inherited that 'trinket' in 1970 when I was only twelve years old. I believe that he went back, stopped the tragedy from happening, but soon found out that the 'butterfly effect' was much worse. Then going back to allow it to happen to correct the timeline.
