Excuse my ignorance, I recently installed within squarespace. Am I scanning the web pages within Squarespace? If so, where and how can I access? This video seems to be within SEOSPACE?

You can do either! I find it easier to change the date, as Squarespace doesn't allow you to add "updated" without writing it manually in the text.

Elegant solution @SEWebDesign ! Thanks for sharing it here @h.purchase ...another quick'n'dirty codeless way to shrink a h1 text is to put it in its own text box and use the Scale Text option (between Text Color and Highlight on the text editor options) to make it span the text box, then resize that text box to shrink it how you like. The major downside is that it doesn't wrap into multiple lines on mobile... so if you're following SEO best practices with a 50+ character H1, it's damn near illegible on mobile 🧐 but it works in a pinch for a shorter h1.

At the 2:26 mark you switch from finding the link in your live site to finding the link in the editing side of SS; but what I don't know is if you can run the scan from the SS editing side to find and fix the broken links, or if you have to manually go find that page in the editing side?

Yes, you can use SEOSpace on the editor! You don't have to go from the live URL to the editor like I did. You can just stay on one tab 👌

Thanks for the video. In my past experience, it difficult to get ecommerce event in checkout page like begin_checkout and purchase because squarespace's checkout works like an window. So do you know how to enable datalayer in checkout page in squarespace for ecommerce tracking?

Thank you for the video, super helpful!!! I also got confused by the "Measurement ID" portion. If anyone else runs into this: Turns out it's the same Google Analytics ID Number that is in the "External API Keys" panel in Squarespace (if you've previously set up Google Analytics) Now I'm wondering if there's a way to set up an event that sends information to Facebook Conversions API. 🤔

Very helpful video, thank you Just have a few questions Do u leave both home and the duplicate in “not linked” still? Do u delete one of them? Is this different if the “home” page in the “main navigation” and the duplicate page is on “not linked” ? Lets say you set up a key word for the duplicate page as “scalp massage” Then what to do with the home page now? Do you still leave the key word as “home”? Im so confuse as now my seo space plug in say I have word cannibalization

Happy to help! Yes, often I will leave in not linked, and then add a link in the footer. You can leave the homepage in linked, it doesn't change anything and there is no need to delete them - they're different pages with different content - ideally you would change the images on the 2nd page to make it unique and specific to the keyword you selected. You can either optimise your homepage for a different keyword, or leave it as a page you don't optimise for a keyword, and just make it as a general page about your business. We have tonnes of tutorials on this channel! I'm sure we have a cannabalisation one - head to the tutorials on our plugin when cannibalisation is flagged and it will walk you through the process.

@ thank you for you response. I have watched other videos that you mentioning about word cannibalization but still did not get an answer for it. The struggle here is that- the keyword cannibalization that seo space suggested-is my business name- is coming from the home page SEO title- and I did not optimize that page at all- and for a weird reason- whatever word I replaced to it- it gives me back a scan as word cannibalization And somehow the home page and the duplicate seem to be connected. As when I tried to change the Title of the home page to “home” instead of my business name - i ran the seo space through the duplicate and it shows the seo title is not optimized and show the results of the home page title I just spent all day trying to figure that out… im so frustrated :((

Thanks so much for this! I'll definitely be watching other videos. A 3 questions though. If you run a blog, not a business- would you suggest removing the site name from the SEO search appearance like you did in the example? Also, what about updating a popular post- do you just add updated date and reindex the page? Last- Do you name all images on the page for the same keyword? Cheers.

Happy to help! - Site name: completely depends - having the site name is typically done by brands who want their brand name to show in search results, because people seeing it makes it more likely to click on the site. If you have brand recognition, then you might want to keep it, if not, then having your blog name there is unlikely to do anything but take up space - We will update blog posts whenever the info comes out of date, or at the end of each year to take it from 2024 -> 2025, for example - when we do this, we update the publishing date - No - I typically only name 1-3 images on the page the keyword and/or a variation, the others, I just describe what the image is showing for accessibility purposes
