Sir, if you were going to use this math to determine how much fluid to pull off a patient (and calculated accordingly to not raise sodium concentration higher than 8 meq/L/day) how would the sodium loss from a diuretic impact this equation? Additionally, if you were going to fluid restrict first, could you use a similar equation to determine what their free water intake limit should be?

Hi guy's i had a ct scan with iodinated contrast dye on the 25th February i was given any hydration or anything before the contrast or no one told me how the risk before administration,, now am having all this crazy symptoms, if like my live have turned upside down. I have muscle cramps, itching, twitching, and now am having foamy urine now. The contrast dye is giving me all this bad symptoms, i cant even sleep at night any more

I went to VA for Chest pains back in OCTOBER..The Er department "Doctors" were clueless as to what was wrong with me, so they whipped out the contrast crap and convinced me to sing the papers so that they could use the contrast to better diagnose me. Now my eFGR is 58...From a 76 before the contrast...I now have the same symptoms you are having. They were well aware that I was Allergic to Contrast Dye and kinda forced my hand into signing the papers giving them permission to basically kill me.
