An interesting idea to experiment with exchanging the rook for the black bishop early in the game. The idea turned out to be .... I'm so much better that I can start by giving my opponents an advantage to start and still win LOL!

Of c it wasnt a mouse slip or an opurtunity what Magnus didnt see. It was a loosing position and Hikaru delibarately give up( mate in one). But Carlsen was extemly fair player and let Hikaru a chanse. Nobody else would do this. Carlsen Goat!( Sorry for my English)

46:03 Magnus was just outclassed in this entire game but Luca didn't see a mate in 2 when it mattered: ...Nc4 and ...Rb2. MC's games vs Dominguez and vs Naka were total blunder fests. If these top GMs are so bad at chess when they are outside of their memorized computer lines, why am I getting angry at myself for making weak moves when I'm just ~2000 elo? 😂👍

Hikaru doesn’t really make excuses when he loses to Magnus. He definitely does against players he doesn’t respect when he’s losing but he usually loses gracefully to Magnus at this point in his career, probably because he knows many of his viewers are also Magnus fans.

@@billj4525 he's tried everything to get a challenge. Playing drunk. Playing in a moving car. Castling the king and queen, etc. Nobody can beat him, he's bored silly. It's pretty entertaining to watch.

Why does Hikaru, who is weaker than Carlsen, older and streams, win almost every TT. And Carlsen, who is stronger, younger and without a stream, does not win nearly as much. Hikaru is cheating.Which shows once again how much chess is dead.

Carlsen plays trash openings and defenses in Titled Tuesday, for self-amusement. Look at what he played in these first few games: 2.g4?!, 1.a3?!, 2...e5??. If Carlsen were to bring his A-game, he'd win every event. But that would be boring for him, so he handicaps himself by playing joke openings. In his game against Hikaru here, he intentionally played Hikaru's pet line (Caro-Kann Gurgenidze) against him, just for entertainment value. This explains the difference in results between Hikaru (who is trying his best to win TT) and Magnus (who is just trolling players and having fun).
