Ms, you've stated "Vocational training stands as the key to not only improving the lives of individuals but also ensuring a strong and competitive economy." ( 5:31 to 5:39 ) Vocational training is presented as "the key," suggesting that it is the only or main way to improve people's lives and maintain economic competitiveness. In actuality, a robust economy and individual well-being are also influenced by a wide range of other elements, including social programs, economic policy, higher education, and technological developments. The statement gives a simple, either-or viewpoint on a complicated topic by focusing on vocational training as the key, ignoring these other important factors. Vocational training could be acknowledged as one of the numerous significant elements influencing both individual and financial performance in a more balanced assertion. My cross examinations: 1.) Besides vocational training, what other factors or educational pathways contribute to individual success and economic growth? How do they compare in terms of effectiveness? 2.) Is vocational training adequate to meet the changing needs of the global economy over the long term, and how does it adjust to quickly evolving industries and technological advancements? And lastly, 3.) Can you offer statistics or studies that demonstrate that, when compared to other educational or workforce development approaches, vocational training is the main or most important component of economic competitiveness? Thank you msss, and we appreciate the efforts you contribute in these educational videos. 🫶🏼

Hi, Ma’am. Maybe you have overgeneralized the pronunciations at 8:00. I guess not all these words don’t have /j/ sound especially the first two examples. Maybe unlike how you pronounced the latter words, they should have been pronounced with the /y/ sound (sYu…); not /j/ (sJu…). Correct me if I’m wrong. Nevertheless, I love your content, Ma’am. In meadows green beneath wide skies, Where gentle winds and rivers glide, I tend my flock, both young and old, In pastures rich with hues of gold. With tender care, I watch them stray, Through grassy fields where they may play. The sun sets low, the stars arise, Beneath the vast, unending skies. So here I stand, with heart so light, In peaceful calm, 'til comes the night

While vocational training can help fix skill gaps, how would you feel about the suggestion that the people in the tech industry are moving so fast that even vocational programs for specific jobs can't keep up with how things are changing? You argue that increasing the supply of vocationally trained workers will enhance GDP and reduce labor shortages. Does this policy's emphasis on vocational training have any drawbacks, such as restraining creativity and long-term economic growth? You said that because technology is changing so quickly training in vocational programs must keep up with market demands in order to reduce skills mismatches and labor shortages, Could it be that some programs are preparing students for occupations that don't exist anymore due to new technology?

A Nymph’s love In meadows green, ‘neath skies so wide, you were there waiting for me with those flowers on your hand. Underneath the moon, I fall inlove with the smell that you had. Those Flowers looked at me and tells “ I love you forever, my love” Oh, dear Shepherd, lost 'neath urban skies, Where the glow of the city dims your eyes. Yet in your heart, the meadows grow, A refuge found where soft winds blow. Though the city's hum may pull you near, The meadows call, serene and clear. In dreams, your flock will ever roam, A Shepherd’s soul, forever home. And should the lights grow cold and stark, The meadows' warmth will reignite the spark.

The Nymph’s sincere message In the meadows green I once abide, where love once was and now a goodbye. ‘Neath the skies I roam freely as I might, your love was freeing yet I cannot comprise. I wouldn’t be able to come home my dear, as you are merely a mortal and I an immortal, your love would simply fade into dust, I once hold dear. The city lights call thy name, as I take my departure, I wish for you to forget who I am, As your love is quite pure and a heart of gold, with love so warm it could heal any wound. I wish for your dream to be true not with me but with someone new, who could love you The same as you do, so you wouldn’t be in the city’s gloom.

Vocational training programs are made especially to give people the technical and practical skills needed for particular occupations. Graduates who have this practical experience are more marketable and better prepared for the workforce. But How can vocational training programs be tailored to meet the needs of diverse student populations? Vocational training, as you indicated, can lead to well-paying occupations, such as plumbers and electricians who make more than the national average. But how do these profits stack up against long-term pay and prospects for career progression in professions such as nursing or law or etc.. that demand more education? You also mentioned that marginalized groups can benefit from vocational training. However, how can you verify or provide evidence that these groups have appropriate access to these vocational studies?

A Nymph's Love Left Behind Place with greed and love, feels so distraught Once brought me joy, now left me numb A love so far and a love so strong Admist the breeze, sorrows fall Waves crashing call my name, seeing you makes a flame Waiting for thou, hopes go low and cold Dreaming of you makes me grief, making me want to leave Yet I, an unfortunate nymph, still mourn your love.

"In conclusion, vocational training offers significant benefits to both individuals and a broader economy, it provides the pathway to well-paying stable jobs, reduces skill mismatches, fosters greater economic mobility, and contributes to addressing labor shortages." - One of the logical fallacies that is demonstrated by this statement is "Hasty Generalization." Why? Vocational training can lead to steady, well-paying jobs, but not everyone will have this experience. The industry, specific place, degree of training, and extent to which the training satisfies actual market demands can all affect wages and job stability. Vocational training programs don't necessarily lead to well-paying positions, especially in sectors where automation or outsourcing could be problematic.

The Nymph Perceiving Fondness Though a person shant be a home, Tiredness is when we roam, Love which I've yearned, For love was never there. Thy meadows green, 'neath skies so wide, I shant be at thy side, I wish upon the stars that you heal the bleeding scars, though thy foliage is enticing I shant be a wife to a mere shepherd, homes gives warmth, which I can't give, hence I am not your home nor thy muse, I pray for the better good of your well being, praying that you forget me The city lights flickering with new beginnings, whisper dreams of hope where the night softly sings. however,r all of those visions were washed away by the bittersweet feeling of rejection and despair, there was never a chance that could enhance the spark, however, I bid thee farewell with love, The nymph

“ ~ The Nymph’s Lament for the Shepherd ” In the silent nights of the forest, oh, shepherd, your call drifts softly through the trees, Like a whisper caught in the evening breeze In spring dandelions fly and go, The rivers splash as they roar. Mysteries unfold like an open door, Dewdrops drop as they flow. The wildflowers sigh, as twilight’s hush descends from the sky, a chorus of petals, soft and sweet. I could count more than the stars to remember these moments, yet I can only watch you pass by. I crave the warmth your presence would bring, But I’m bound to the forest like a firm and stubborn string. Oh, shepherd, I yearn to follow your way, But the woods demand my soul must stay. (In the “I could count more than the stars to remember these moments, yet I can only watch you pass by. ”, if you can't understand, The nymph cherishes the shared moments so much that they could count them infinitely “could count more than the stars”. But the nymph was chained and bound to the forest that they were forced to look the other way and set their hearts aside.)

"By focusing on vocational training, governments can address this gap by creating a steady stream of workers equipped with the right skills." This commits the appeal to authority fallacy because the statement makes an assumption that the government would effectively create a skilled workforce by prioritizing vocational training without offering evidence to support it. The statement depends on the governments' power to accomplish the intended result, yet no evidence is provided to support the claim that such actions will be successful.

In the darkness, while the world so quite. I, and my eyes unfold the sorrow in my heart. With radiant thoughts of you I often roam, waiting for my amour to appear in my sight. The stars in the sky seems like your love for me, that always shines and brighten my life. My eyes in tears could not demand for more, it only waits to see you smile. Yet with my sorrow, I will dusk till dawn but still wait for you. And I, your fondness, will forever gloom. Response by: Jasmeen Kaur

In 4:56 to 5:13, it stated that ‘A skilled workforce is essential for business to grow and thrive, and investing in vocational education ensures the economy remains competitive on a global scale. In conclusion, vocational training offers significant benefits to both individuals and the broader economy.” It’s a fallacious statement as it commits a ‘hasty generalization”, implying that a skilled workforce is the sole pathway for business growth and success, while also drawing a broad conclusion to both individuals and the economy, which over-generalizes the role of vocational education as the primary pathway to achieve and ensure economic competitiveness, without sufficiently acknowledging other crucial factors such as higher education, innovation, entrepreneurship, trade policies, or technological advancements, all of which plays significant benefits and contributions.

It is stated that electricians and plumbers meet salaries that are above national average and it is provided with an evidence affirming it by disclosing the average salaries of plumbers and electricians in the U.S. The premise of your statements fell in a fallacy called “Hasty Generalization”, it is the act of concluding without sufficient evidence, an example is “People are from Ireland are such ill-mannered people since I saw an Irish man a day ago being impolite at a cafe shop” with this explanation, the statement that Plumbers and Electricians in the have salaries that are above average since plumbers and electricians in the U.S experience the same thing is a logical error as it assumes that plumbers and electricians in all nations have high salaries without sufficient evidence affirming that it is identical to other nations as well, not just the United States.

A Quiet Resolve In distant hills, where dreams once grew, I wander now with hopes in view. Though city lights still pull me near, My heart is bound to past so dear. The winds may change, and paths may wind, Yet still, my dreams are clear in mind. The meadow’s call, though faint, is strong, In whispered breezes, it sings along. | Response by: Avril Shane Pegarido The poem “A Shepherd’s Yearning for Home” really touches on the deep feelings of longing and connection we all experience at some point. This video really helped bring the poem to life, making it easier to understand the shepherd’s emotions. It’s a great reminder that we all look for a sense of belonging, whether it’s with family, friends, or even within ourselves. You mentioned that electricians and plumbers earn more than many jobs requiring college degrees. Can you explain if this is true in all areas or only in specific places? Also, do these salaries include the costs of training, tools, and licensing that these jobs might require? You said vocational training focuses on specific skills. But since jobs and technology change quickly, how can these programs make sure workers don’t lose their jobs if the skills they learned are no longer needed? Vocational training works well for jobs like healthcare and IT. But what happens in areas where these jobs aren’t common or needed? Would vocational training still help people find work, or would it leave them with skills they can’t use?

The statement 0:39 to 0:51: "Vocational training not only helps individuals secure stable, well-paying jobs but also contributes to the economy by addressing labor shortages, reducing skill mismatches, and fostering greater economic mobility." The statement generalizes that vocational training always leads to good jobs and solves issues like labor shortages and skill mismatches. However, not everyone who undergoes vocational training automatically gets a well-paying job. In some regions or industries, vocational training may not match job market needs, or it may not lead to high-paying employment. For instance, some vocational fields may be oversaturated, leading to fewer job opportunities. The statement doesn't mention these possible problems and suggests that vocational training works the same for everyone, which isn't always the case. This is a hasty generalization because it assumes all situations are the same without considering different challenges or factors.

4:14 to 4:30 "Finally, vocational training contributes positively to the economy by filling labor shortages. A DEEO report predicts that by 2030, the US will face a shortage of over 2 million skilled workers in the manufacturing sector alone." This is a false cause fallacy. The statement assumes vocational training will automatically solve labour shortages, without considering other factors like automation and industry changes. It implies that vocational training will solve everything without considering other factors. Hence, it is a False cause fallacy.

You mentioned that vocational training leads to higher wages compared to a high school diploma. However, don’t you think that some skilled trades, like plumbing and electrical work, may face job market fluctuations or competition that could affect job stability and wages in the long run? You argue that vocational training reduces skill mismatches, but how do you respond to the concern that vocational programs might become outdated if industries continue to rapidly change, especially in technology and healthcare? While vocational training does provide specialized skills, what do you say to individuals who worry that vocational education limits their career growth in the long term, especially in fields where further education or advancement is necessary?

Higher education often drives research, innovation, and the creation of new industries. By prioritizing vocational training over higher education, how can governments ensure that economic growth and technological advancements are not hindered by a reduced focus on research-intensive careers? Vocational training focuses on equipping individuals with specific industry skills. In a rapidly changing job market where automation and technology are transforming industries, how can vocational training ensure that workers remain adaptable and employable when their specific skills become obsolete? You mentioned that vocational training can lead to well-paying jobs, such as electricians and plumbers earning above the national average. However, how do these earnings compare to long-term salaries and career advancement opportunities in fields that require higher education, such as engineering, law, or medicine?

The statement (5:01 to 5:08) "Investing vocational training ensures the economy remains competitive on a global scale" shows the fallacy Straw man. The statement uses the word ensures however, simply investing in vocational training won't 100% keep the economy competitive because it overlooks other factors that can affect the competitiveness for example, corruption on another talented individual preventing them from getting any work. It can be overlooked if the statement used along the lines of "greatly affect," but instead, they use the word ensure making it easier for them to attack. Therefore, it is Strawman.
