Dear friend, thank you for your useful video. In my case the the oven make some heat but the thermostat don't make that "click" or turn on the light, do you think the problem should be with the thermostat or the heating resistor (not sure if there is more than one)?

The 32-bit version prints better than the old 8-bit silent version ? What is better to do, buy the 8-bit silent version or convert it to 32-bit like you do?

The 32 bit board is alot cheaper than the silent 8 bit and allows upgrade Marlin 2.0 so you get all the new features. More work to convert it but comes down to preference end of the day

@@amp9438 Ok, which version V4.2.7 do you recommend with TMC2209 or TMC2225 ? (same price, the seller writes that he has two versions ) And one more thing, what Vref did you set for the motors, especially the Z axis? Edit Unfortunately, the seller lied. V4.2.7 motherboard has TMC2225. E3 Free-runs motherboard has TMC2209 but no firmware for ender 5 plus :(

I had the rx and tx wires reversed the mother board flashed correctly now the bl touch dosnt stop the z home, everything seems to work fine I just gotta figure that bl touch issue out

Check the wiring on bl touch. I had to swap them round for the z stop

Thanks for the help but it didn’t fix it I think the issue is with the bl touch it self it is pretty old. The wires are also kinda questionable. It work for 1 power cycle then wouldn’t even do it’s self check when powered on. I will figure it out eventually thanks again for all your hard work.

Thank you for a very explanatory video. My question is, are you making the connection to the lock motor or the lock button? The motor has 2 wires. lock button 3 wire

Hi mate, great video. Couldn’t you just get a new pair of batteries like before? Also, mine sometimes turn on and randomly turn off. Would a quick clean of the inside of the clippers be sufficient to bring these clippers back to life? Thanks

Did the firmware upgrade and everything starts up, but when doing the leveling. The BLtouch wont properly work and the printboard is only going down. tried without the z-limit port on the Motherboard. What is wrong?

switched around the black and green cable from the splitter and now it works good :) OA1 and OA2

Can you post a link to the DWIN you used with the Main board firmware? I your linked BIN and the latest Marlin for the LCD but it seems to be displaying the correct temp but with a decimal point and won't start prints because of this. For example 200*C setting will settle at 19.8*C for the hotend and the bed setting of 60*C will show as 6.0 or 5.9*C and is probably just a mismatch.

how did you plug the 3 fans? in the board is only 2 plug? you show only 1 fan plug in the video.. can i connect the cable like the z cable? just split the cables?

There are only 2 connectors shown for the hotend using the terminal block and plug. The 3rd fan I have is for the PSU which is connected separately. You need a splitter for the z cables

You can download the file from the link in the description and use a 3d printing service to create one. I'd suggest using ABS plastic etc as is better against the heat.

No idea sorry. This was a project I worked on long time ago and no longer researching this. Are you talking about different gel batteries like lead acid etc?

So this worked. I had to go to another video for one piece of disassembly info that wasn't immediately obvious for me, but your solution for strengthening the hinge was excellent. I used the heat of the soldering iron to push the brass insert in, instead of gluing it. Thanks for the video and the help! This is what youtube is for.

Wired everything got the printer on but when homing the tool head isn’t centred and the bed goes down like the control is inverted. Any ideas? I can probably fix the inverted motors by reversing the z axis wires but any way to do it with G-code?

If you're building your own version of Marlin you could have a look at #define INVERT_Z_DIR true/false to invert the direction or as you suggest changing the wiring.

You don't need to use a dedicated firmware flasher, you can use another Arduino (by putting it into ISP mode) + a 10uF capacitor, or a Raspberry Pi instead. I'll be doing this guide with a CRTouch on a V1.1.4 board once it arrives... wish me luck... (a previous commenter said it works with this too). Thanks for creating this guide!

@ To let you know, I did it and the CRTouch works well with no faults. I decided to solder a wire onto the unused pin 29 pad rather than splicing the display cable and using pin 27 (and thereby disabling the buzzer). Also the Zstop is polarised for some reason but you can just experiment until it works . I had to cut back some features to get Marlin 2.0 to a small enough size to fit onto the controller (mainly disabling ARC support which isn’t widely used by slicers anyway).

This could be a great solution for my 2006 GD problem. When my car came out of the panel beaters there was just a key and the remote fob had disappeared. There was a lot of shrugging and I just had to lump it. Can lock and unlock the car using the stone age method of using the key!!! But this sucks after 20+ years in the modern era. Watched some vid's online and it appeared that you could order a new key fob and reprogram it with some basic procedures........did not work on first cheap fob or on second, more expensive but still cheap fob, don't wan't repeat experience on very expensive fob from Honda.......so I am thinking what if I just replace the entire package with aftermarket job? I wonder if that will be simple or if they will have extra wires to prevent folk changing to aftermarket? Anyhow, your excellent video has given me some inspiration to give it a go. Thanking you whatever the outcome :)

Just brilliant video. For siz long months...I been manually turning on CH get HW.
