That's true! But I did give disclaimers during the video. The only tool necessary was the circular saw. 1. The sander - I mentioned you can hand sand with sandpaper. I used a sander to save time. 2. The drill - I mentioned that shelf could sit there with wood glue, but I chose to use screws. Without being weight-bearing, either option works. Another option is to just leave that back shelf out entirely, if this will be against the wall

I hate these titles and thumbnails!
@MakingMadeSimpleАй бұрын
KZbin's a complicated space. Unfortunately, if there's nothing attention-grabbing in the thumbnail, videos often don't get seen, even if the content is informative and well-put together. The thumbnail is a little extreme, but I do believe the title delivers on its presumptions

Hello there, just curious. Why there's no carpentry joints or grooves inbetween the pieces of wood but just glue to stick them together? Is this durable for long time? Wont they come off. Thanks in advance
@MakingMadeSimpleАй бұрын
Thanks for asking! When it comes to cutting boards, wood glue provides adequate strength for years to come. No need for grooves or anything fancy because the wood glue is enough to hold it together. You just gotta use the right stuff. That being water-resistant glue that's also food-safe 👍🏼

I have the DeWalt table saw, but you are absolutely correct. Sometimes I just don't feel like setting it up just for a couple of short straight cuts. I made a zero clearance jig that works just fine. Keep these great videos coming.

I thought tinting the back glass window is not good for the Tesla? I’ve backs shattered for whatever reason.
@MakingMadeSimple2 ай бұрын
I don't believe this to be the case for the back glass, I've only heard that about the roof. From my understanding, a lot of ceramic tints don't let the heat get past the tint. So if the glass roof is tinted, which gets hit directly by sunlight frequently, the heat goes through the glass and essentially gets trapped between the glass and the tint, causing it to shatter. I didn't tint my roof, so I have no clue whether it actually happens, but I've heard it can.

@MakingMadeSimple4 ай бұрын
Haha, it was my first time! I really appreciate that comment. I did a ton of research to try and get the best results possible. But the reality is, if the process looked super smooth, it's probably because the video's edited. With the edits, I get to choose which parts went modt smoothly and best demonstrate that part of the process. A lot of it is fast-forwarded haha
