I should be part of this September class, I'm from Burkina, but I ask a deferal request for 2025 class due to lack of money. I was eligible for the scholarship but I didn't get it due to restricted number, I'm not sure that I 'll could afford 2025 class

Don't lose faith. You can prepare and reapply. I've applied before and got a half scholarship to study at ALU but I wasn't financially ready then. It'll happen soon enough. I hope to see you there👍🏽

Very valuable discussion, about the symbiotic relationship between people, nature, and economies. Am humbled to be part of this great debate, inspiring stories which are not known to many.

Controversial View: I observe that ALU prioritizes marketing over the quality of students' education. For example, students in the software engineering program are primarily self-taught rather than receiving extensive coaching. Astonishingly, they only have three hours per week with coaches to ask questions. Moreover, the coaching sessions, led by one instructor with subpar delivery, are limited to one hour per session over three days, focusing solely on answering questions. The students' primary learning materials consist of online notes, which contradicts the school's claim of providing excellent education as stated on their website. More shocking is that most coaches read the slides and can barely give examples off the top of their heads. Moreover, it is concerning to note that many students resort to copying from chatGPT or struggle to complete excessive assignments within tight timelines. This situation raises questions about the institution's understanding of "doing hard things," as it seems to equate it with self-teaching. The institution should consider reducing fees or reallocating resources from marketing to prioritize a more student-centered approach, especially for producing top-tier engineers. It is troubling that students' grievances have not been adequately addressed. While the school has effectively promoted its brand externally, the students' academic performance and overall experience seem to be lacking.
