Was a nice video, but literally told you nothing about riding, other than that western uses a deeper saddle with a horn, and the horse neck reins. The "HOW" would be more helpful, as well as more appropriate for the title used.

What you call "western riding" is in reality spanish/mexican riding. The head (horn) of the saddle to hold the lazo was invented in central Mexico along with all the lazo techniques.

The Humbug mine closed around 1932. They were taking in around $28-$32 per ton. That was about one ounce of gold per ton. That wasn't enough to keep it going. I have some of the paperwork from the Humbug mine office that I collected back in 1968. A man named Frank Hyde was quite prominent in the papers so I think he was the owner of it.

They become dudes? No... they ARE dudes. Well that is in old time terms. A dude was a city slicker, or dandy. The Dude Ranches catered to "dudes", they didn't make them. They were ranches that allowed city folks to experience what it was like to be a cowboy (though that term also didn't have very good beginnings either). Many "Dude Ranches" have now changed their names to "Guest Ranches" to move away from the term "dude". But again.. no... you don't go to a dude ranch to "become a dude", but because you ARE one. Cheers!

I have to try making some peach cobbler in my 12" inch dutch oven and see how it turns out. I love that recipe and those who ate it must have enjoyed it as well.

I rode through Waipio Valley back in May and it was just stunning!! Went with Waipio on Horseback though. :) As an experienced rider I even got to go faster than the rest of the group.

I've ridden a Icelandic horse and he was great mount! But I would love to go to Iceland and ride there.

I went there. we flat out galloped

I ride English in hunter jumpers and western is very fun!!!!!! But if you start riding I would ride English first because you need alot more balence because the English saddle is less stable then the western saddle and if you ride western it makes it easier for you to ride Western Because your have an amazing seae of balence
