@@mcagris big frame. 930 fendt. Still run less fuel than that thing. Handle the weight on the front like a boss. Better turning circle. Bought second hand, f all r and m and less depreciation... ya know something like that... that work boss??

1st time i have ever watched one of your videos, just seen your name ( Murray Cooper) how ironic as we just buried my dear friend Murray Cooper yesterday, is it a sign who knows? But thanks for posting. RIP my dear friend Murray.

@@markocarroll9424 would it get higher than a silage clamp due to slighlty higher moisture? Would that effect/damage the ferment? Ive seen grassboxes melt when left with fresh clippings in, i know its baled so less air..

With this set up wouldn’t the Vicon fast bale be the press of choice?

@@schobi791 nonstop baler be ideal in flat fields unsure how they would go in some of our steep land. I'll wait for McHale's version to come.

Interesting.. But transport of the header between fields probably requires a second tractor and set up time..

As interesting as this looks my main question would be how the bales look after 4 weeks. No crimping, no turning, no drying time just fresh forage straight into the bale. If I did that on my land the bales would look like molten bags after some weeks.
@mcagris
@mcagris Ай бұрын
Bales were at full density averaged 725kg, stacked 4 high so every possibility will be to but shouldn't be too bad being late arable silage bordering on whole-crop.

I just cut it and mostly bale it in the evening, i just dont understand why to buy all the machinery
@insomniusm0tion785
@insomniusm0tion785 Ай бұрын
@eriknoren6218 If I would do that in my climate zone I'd have bales that weigh about 1000kg and loose 200kg of silage juice when opened. I guess it depends very much where you live.

It's bailage. Fresh cut wrapped as quickly as possible. The bales ferment in the wrapping. It's fed to dairy.
@insomniusm0tion785
@insomniusm0tion785 Ай бұрын
@user-rl7hu3yo5t you obviously haven't read my other comments. I know how bailage works, I do it myself. I'm just saying my weather conditions don't allow cut and bale in one go. It would be wet garbage. Water is a pH buffer in silage. Without additives/molasses there wouldn't be enough sugar to get that wet stuff ferment right. I need the drying time and at least turning once.

Was a scrap yard/ pick your own spares guy was almost killed under a trailer years ago and then injured by cattle so everything got out of hand. He kept all sorts of interesting bits to the side. still works away selling bits n pieces great knowledge of where everything came from and all sorts. Absolutely mesmerising when you first go there still is even after a few years of going. Things are rapidly deteriorating now
