Thank god we don’t have to watch Phillip Rivers anymore.

To be fair, not trusting Russell was the right thing to do. I'd rather trust Janikowski with the attempt than Russell to take a knee.

64 yard field goals are considered long but makeable by several kickers now. Maybe in 10 years this could be a legit try under the right conditions

I was at that game with my dad. The temperature during game time at 1:00pm was 34°F. That was hands down the coldest game I’ve ever experienced at Candlestick Park.

How does someone as slow as Mastrud make the nfl. That catch should have been a TD.

Only three CBS markets got to see this game in Jacksonville, FL, Tallahassee, FL, and Columbus, GA. This game was blacked out in Cincinnati, OH, Dayton, OH, and Lexington, KY.

12 Years Later The Bills Win At Home Against Them 30-21
That despicable jerk Gregg "Mr. Bountygate" Williams was coaching the Bills back then..The following season the Bills finished 6-10 and that was it for Williams.

It's too bad Moulds didn't play for the Bills 20 years later. Josh Allen would have loved to have had Moulds in his prime to throw to.

Not sure why this announcer was trying to defend one of the dirtiest players in the history of sports. He was looking at his knee as he hit him. He did it intentionally. Then years later perfection ends in his face. Karma.

Legit NO one saw these two teams at the time (both had losing records) later facing off in the NFC title in the playoffs that season. That has to be one of the most unpredictable feats in NFL history.

I remember this game vividly. Wow with the old NFL Network logo they were just a baby in 08 time flies

Weird looking back at this for two things: one, Geno ended up being a perfectly acceptable quarterback once he got out of the Meadowlands, didn't he? Two, the Lions' ground crew putting the Bills logo at the 50 and a monochrome Bills end zone design in, that was top notch. I wonder why they didn't do it in 2022? (Oh yeah, it was the week before Thanksgiving so they may not have wanted to risk not having the time to clean it up for Thursday. Probably why the Bills sent them wings the first time and donuts the second time. :P )

After the ridiculously stupid decision to go for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking a field goal in the first quarter Dan Reeves deserve to lose he cost them this game that was the beginning of the end

Wtf they missed so many good highlights from this game! The Grossman TD to Armstrong and Roy Helu leaping over his own man should’ve been included.

Pardon my Take brought me to this video. Coach Rivera talking about going for it on 4th down and how that mentality helped him as a coach and his team to be aggressive and get more points on the board. The highlight showed Rivera going for it on 4th and it paid off with that TD to Steve Smith. These Panthers were so fun to watch!!

Great catch and return by Vasher, but this play does not happen without Urlacher who had the speed and ball knowledge to set up more than a few key blocks. Hall of Fame effort.

I came to watch this because Dudes on Dudes Podcast talked about this game. GRONK explained his touchdown, exactly how it occurred. JULS doesn't get enough credit for that Bad Ass Block!
@briankleinschmidt36645 күн бұрын
When they kick those long field goals in practice, there is no defensive line to interfere. Any attempt of 70 yards or so just has too low of a trajectory. In the game, you must kick it over the defense, and it was just too far.
