Any ideas on how to fix the dial ? Had ours for quite a few years, and now the dial is stuck, and I can't reprogram it.

Thanks! I was missing one key thing to correctly program this and there it was about 5 minutes in. All sorted out.

Need to add worm bedding such as coco coir. And not so much food waste or it will start to smell before it can be broken down.

@TheScubaProfessionals8 ай бұрын
You must always depressurise after each use, the unit is not designed to remain at pressure between uses

I started with one bag and was so happy when we got about the same yield as the video showed us, we just had loads of ants eating so many of them that we were left with 4 big one's skin only, we are buying a few more bags to see if we can try this again, thank you for the great bag and video

It’s super simple but why when you put 6am it changed it to 18:00. I just bought this and it keeps changing the time. I put 6:00 and it changed it to 02:00. I so don’t understand Is there a way to turn the frequency off so that you can just set up a once off timer for when you are not home ?
@valamaas2 ай бұрын
6am -> 18pm - This is because you set a frequency of 12 hours. It shows the next time it will run. So normally people are asleep at 6am, and only see 1800(6pm). You can turn the program off. When you manually water, you can set the duration at that point (i think you have about 10 seconds to use the dial to do this). It then remembers your manual duration. It is quite annoying that it only has one programmed time and then frequency for extra waterings. Who wants their watering turning on at 2am? I need 10am and 2pm watering because it gets hot (Australia). I can't do that with this timer. So I manually water in the morning and then auto water in the afternoon (24h frequency).

Do you need to leave the doors open in summer? Or is that trial and error
@texaspatty4697 Жыл бұрын
Sir, when you compost, dont you have to balance your greens and your browns? You added very little "brown" material to balance with all the food.

It's fascinating how much information in this video is neither in the Amazon description nor in the original product video. What's the range of the nozzle variation? Do you pump with that handle on top? (Yes, of course, but none of the pictures showed it, they just assume you know, in a world where there are manual pumps (without pressure buildup) and electric pumps. Dammit, Gardena, just show the stuff! And explain the weighted thing, it's great to know this.) Anyways, great video, it's about 5 times more informative than the original product material!

How is the water pressure? I can't find any info on this. I need it for a sprinkler system on the front yard. And it needs to be the same pressure as the source (the tap in the wall)

Great video. Very informative. If I may just advise you that the liquid at the bottom of the bin is not worm tea it is leachate. Worm tea is when you take a mesh type bag of worm castings and stick it in a bucket of water and put a air rated pump with a stone on the end along in the bucket and let it bubble over night, which activates all the microbes, goodies in the castings that are in the water :). While leachate can be used in the garden sometimes the results may vary because of the different things you put in the bin.

Is there anything special that needs to be considered for when temps fall below freezing? How do the worms survive in something like this when it gets that frigid?
@TheScubaProfessionals3 жыл бұрын
HI, the worm farms will handle evenings if they go below Zero, like in South Africa where we do not have constant below zero temps as during the day it will warm up. But if you where in an area where it snows and the ground freezes in that instance we would recommend moving your farm into your tool shed or garage.
